Programs, ease of use, price... has earned our recommendation. We have discovered that if the unit is not used for a week or so, that we have to reboot by unplugging it. Foreign films, cooking/recipe channels, anime, and extensive library of channel options are greatly appreciated. Truly fills in gap of watchable movies

Excellent reception, but limited programming

The picture and sound are excellent and streaming works perfectly even with CenturyLink's mediocre Internet download speed (7 mbs). Selecting programming is easy enough, although searching is not always accurate (doesn't always find what I'm looking for, even though I may eventually find it by endless scrolling). My biggest disappointment is the paucity of sports programming. Also, some popular current programming is unavailable (e.g., "The Big Bang Theory" and other sitcoms).
As far as the physical unit and remote go: very sleek, small, and easy to use, although some of the remote's buttons are complete mysteries (e.g., the "A" and "B" buttons). A complete users manual would be really helpful!
Two (hopefully) minor problems: (1) lack of an "off" or "sleep" function on the remote (must wait for the unit to go to sleep on its own), and (2), the website's security certificate is rated "untrustworthy" by Samsung/Chrome (competitor's dirty game?).

Great Features

Bought this a month ago. Goodbye Satellite! I wish I had bought a Roku3 sooner than I did. It's awesome especially since I can plug my headphones in the remote and not worry about waking anyone up when I watch at night.

We love the no-fuss ease of using Roku. Plus it provides us with PBS On Demand which we did not have with cable.

Ease of Installation

We got the ROKU 3 about a month ago and found it easy to install and working great. The remote was a bit of a mystery at first but I found it intuitive in design so after a little while I became familiar with the basic functions. We have already connected to a number of "channels" and are really having a blast with ROKU.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to Use! Huge Savings

We bought this at the recommendation of children, tired of our high cable bills cost. We were a bit hesitant as we were afraid we wouldn't be able to watch our favorite shows., but all our shows are on Hulu. Netflix and Amazon. I love the music channels (Pandora, Vevo) and the movie selections are awesome. We have so many free channels to choose from, there is always something on. You couldn't pay me to take our cable back.

Love the attached headset

My daughter needs to do her homework in quiet and it is a great way for me to e able to watch shows without disturbing her. The only thing to e aware of is that you need to plug the Roku into a separate plug than the tv. There is interference that comes through the tv speakers and causes a squawking sound. But once I figured that out, all is great. I have an older home (circa 1940's) so I only have 3 plugs in the entire living room. I plugged an extension cord to reach devices with a surge protector at the end. I plugged the Roku into the extension cord vs. the surge protect and all is well.
