Lots of channel options

I received this for a Christmas gift and have not been disappointed! I did research before asking for this and I am glad that I did, this has so many features and channels that far exceeded my expectations.

I own 3 Roku 3 players. It streams much better than a smart TV. It opens pages faster than a smart TV. The remote is powerful and simple. The player is compact. Any problems can be fixed by re-setting. The only thing missing is CBS, NBC & ABC.
I would recommend this to a friend!

not as great as i expected.

i have only had it for about a month. there are supposedly 1500+ channels you can add. but i only found a handful that do not actually charge you money to use. and of those, they are all basically the same cra ppy movies that you probably wouldnt even watch if you still had cable. the interface is pretty blah and basic, especially on some of the apps. the CBS app is a joke, they just have a bunch of 30-60 second CLIPS of shows. there are a few channels like this. amazon tv looks a lot better then the roku, but that is really only useful if you have prime. yes, it has netflix, prime, and hulu. but so does pretty much every other device you already own. maybe someday when more people start ditching pay-tv these kinds of devices will be worth getting. but i have not really gotten much use out of it in the short time i have owned it. the worst part though, is that they make you enter a credit card (although you can delete it after setting up your account) when setting up the device, and cannot skip past the step.

Infinitely better and cheaper than cable-TV

The amount of content is amazing and I love the fact that I can take it with me and watch my favorite shows wherever there is an internet connection and a TV. Picture quality is extraordinary.

I LOVE my ROKU 3! I am so glad I bought it. Streaming Acorn and everything else is a breeze, set up was flawless, couldn't be happier! Thank you to Roku for a fantastic product.

Good device, except usb port
