This Roku requires you to select a show multiple times before you actually get to the show. My children had no problem with our older Roku, but this one is not well thought out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fastest one Yet!

I have owned a Roku 1 for years. I finally decided to get another one and went with the 3. Its great and for sure very fast opposed to the other two. There is one huge con with it some may love it or hate it. The mic stereo jack is now moved onto the actually remote. This can be Good or bad depending on who you are and what you use it for. I personally use it to connect to my surround bar. and now i cannot unless of course I burn the batteries and Not use the remote. Other than that its a cool idea for maybe someone who is sleeping next to you and you wanna put some head phones on to keep them from staying awake.

I bought the Roku in early January. After a month of using it, I am thrilled with it. The connection always stays connected, so response time is very short. I actually tried the Chromecast and Firestick, returning both of them in favor of the ROKU 3.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A friend gave me ROKU for Christmas and it took me a few weeks to get up and running just because I wasn't familiar with it, but now I love it!!

We bought this a month or two ago to replace the streaming apps available on our ancient PS3 that finally bit the dust. This box has FAR more choices available! Almost everything we want to see is available on one channel or another. The video & audio quality are super through the HDMI output although I don't think it has 4K capability. It was SUPER easy to install, set up, and add to my Harmony remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!
