Better than cable!

We've had our Roku 3 since Jan. 10. It's a great alternative to cable. My daughter has more access to shows she will actually watch. I love being able to stream Amazon Prime and Netflix straight onto my HDTV that is hooked up to my surround sound receiver.
On thing - some channels are subject to bandwidth issues. You need to keep this in mind when planning to watch a big event. We did have trouble streaming the Superbowl for this reason.

Far Better than Expected

While I have desperately wanted an alternative to cable and satellite services, I was still hesitant about Roku. As somebody who is fairly cheap and doesn't pay for a lot of premium content, I worried that the amount of free programming on Roku would be insignificant or uninteresting. Upon the announcement of Dish's Sling service, I decided it was time to find out about Roku. Even though I have subscribed to Sling (which is great for my house as it includes all of our favorite channels except NBCSN), I would have been happy just with Roku itself.
The amount of good free content is amazing. There seems to be something for everybody. Perhaps best of all is how good YouTube videos look through Roku as opposed to my computer even though it has a relatively burly graphics card.
I have found Roku easy to use and fast to respond. Some menus take a little getting used to but such is the case with any such device. The only channels where I have had any sort of problem have been ones still in beta testing.
One thing we did notice that required an adjustment is that we needed to change the picture settings on our TV. Roku seems to put out a picture that is very bright so we had to turn our settings down to a standard level. Once we changed, things looked great. Of course, whether anybody else needs to do this depends on their own TVs and preferences.
I could go on and on but I don't want to make everybody's eyes bleed. I will just close by saying this...whether you are big on things like Netflix and Hulu Plus and do a lot of pay-per-views or you're cheap like me and just want the free stuff (plus Sling to stick it to big cable), a Roku 3 box will be the best entertainment investment you've made in a long time.

Great value

I love my Roku. Since my TV does not have the capability of streaming, I bought the Roku, and I've been so happy in receiving all the series and movies on Netflix and the other channels that are offered.

Great Features, Easy to use

I bought The Roku 3 for my main TV in the living area of my home and love it. I am a cord cutter no cable in my home I only stream. So I decided to set up another TV in the back of the house and tried a different brand for streaming. It was a Blue-ray player, less expensive but harder to navigate. I ended up taking it back and got another Roku 3 and love it.

Works Great!

We received this as a gift. I really like that it has ether-net ports to wire direct. We put it in the basement rec room which is far away from the modem and I wanted a clear signal.

This product has exceeded my expectations at every level; I particularly love the headphone jack in the remote unit... what a great feature! Also, the speed of the navigation - and the easy ability to use a tablet or IPhone as a remote - - this has been a wonderful feature as well. I strongly recommend this product with absolutely no hesitation whatsoever.
