Portable, fast, and awesome

We move the Roku stick from TV to TV depending on where we are at the time. It is easy to disconnect and reconnect, it loads quickly, and it streams content perfectly.

Great, but Amazon streaming needs to up their game

My husband and I got this as a gift for Christmas (and a Roku 2 as well). My favorite feature of the Roku 3 is the headphone jack, great for watching TV in bed while he's sleeping or vice versa. The only issues we've had are that sometimes the "OK" button becomes unresponsive so we have to unplug the Roku's power source to reset it and that Amazon connectivity is a little wonky. I don't think it's our WiFi signal and I blame Amazon not Roku for this (in our experience this is true on any device we've tried to stream Amazon from).

Roku Saved Christmas!

For Christmas I bought my son a new TV for his room and a blu-ray player that connected to the internet. Well, the blu-ray player had terrible wifi reception and was a major disappointment for him. I felt terrible! So I got online and ordered him a Roku stick, and now everything is right with the world. He loves watching Netflix in his room, which is quite far from our router, but the Roku stick just streams away, giving him a beautiful picture with never a hiccup. Thanks Roku!

When your latest software up-date was performed on my Roku 3, it stopped working properly afterwards.

Magnificent picture

I bought the streaming stick about 6 weeks ago and I'm amazed by the technology. It plugs easily into your hdmi port and operates on WIFI. The picture on Netflix and Amazon is 1080p and is perfect. There are many many channels to choose from although most are geared to very specific tastes and the most popular channels require a subscription. However, with Netflix and Amazon I almost never turn on the cable except to watch sports events. It's certainly worth the modest price tag.

I don't even miss my cable!!!

I bought my Roku 3 aka Johny when my cable was was discontinued due to the University switching from Analog to Digital cable. It was the smoothest transition off of cable and offers way more than I expected. Its basically like watching tv but without all the annoying commercials and the extra cost. Lucky for me I have a few friends that are devote to cable and were kind enough to allow me the use of their HBO-GO info. I don't miss out on my football and my fave networks stream many of the shows I watch! Bravo Roku 3...I mean Johny!! I'd also like to add that I tried a different streaming device and was throughly a let down, the Roku is so user friendly and easy to navigate!!
