I bought my Roku 3 about 5 weeks ago for an extra flat screen that I have on an antenna. I am very pleased with the Roku 3. I can get many channels and stream Time Warner via wifi without an HD box like my other flat screens have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Rocku is Very easy to use, and set up! It took me like 10 mins to set it up.
Video quality is great! It boots in about a second. I just love it!!!!

Decided to try the Roku stick as an inexpensive way to stream movies. Did a down load speed test and Internet provider agreed to update my system. My motivation was due to the DISH / Fox News dispute. Do hope the industry goes thru a great change as there is no competition now days. Just way too expensive for the mindless number of channels we do not wish to pay for. Anyways, the Roku system is a very good choice. Set up was fast and overall just works great. At this time it will not replace your local stations or prime time television, but opens a great source of movies and TV programs. You can purchase, rent, or find free movies of every description. The options are endless.

Perfect for my needs!

Because we travel out of the country quite a bit, we were looking for a streaming player that could accommodate older model TVs that do not support an HDMI connection. For example, many smaller resorts in Mexico , Dominican Republic, Costa Rica etc. still have older TVs that do not have HDMI connections. For us, the Roku 2 met our needs perfectly! While we have not needed to use the composite cables very often, it is comforting to know they are available if needed.
On the other hand, the HDMI cable connection works BRILLIANTLY with an extremely clear HD connection. Although we do not watch a lot of TV while on holiday, sometimes it is just nice to pull up an English speaking movie after a day on the beach (regrettably, we do not speak Spanish fluently).
We are VERY happy with our Roku 2 player!!.
