Kind of slow in turning on, lot's of paid content.
The free content is pretty repetitive and not very good. Lot's of old, bad movies and the like. I think if I had cable, this would be a cheaper way to get some of those channels to a second TV.

This Roku stick works like a charm and no wires, just plugs into the back of your TV and away you go, I love it.

Fast easy streaming device

Wish I'd brought one of these ages ago - was using a streaming stick ( which is also good but has to go through your computer/laptop/phone) but the ease of just pressing a remote control which goes through your home wifi is so much quicker and easier - I love it

Lots of extras you can't get on a smart tv!

This is my second ROKU. I have one in my guest room and one in my bedroom. I can watch great movies, documentaries and more that I can't get on my satellite! I'm even thinking of getting one, maybe two more for my other TV's! And I'd put one of those on my smart tv!!!

Make your TV smart

This is an excellent way to bring smart features to a non-smart TV. I like that it doesn't increase the footprint at all (no additional box sitting on a shelf)
The interface is clean and very user-friendly. If you download the remote app for your smartphone (android & iOS), you don't even need the remote (we can't find ours but it doesn't really matter), plus searches are made easier with the on-screen keyboard of the device.
The only things I have to complain about is that it takes a bit for it to start up. I haven't compared it to any other device, but it feels like a long time. One other complaint is with the included remote. There are 4 pre-programmed channel buttons. I believe mine are Blockbuster, Netflix, MGo, and one other. I have seen other configurations as well. You cannot reprogram these, so if there are 2-3 channels you use more than anything else, there is no way to make them presets.
Finally, it would be nice to have a way to screen cast with it. There is a way to share photos and videos from your device, but to my knowledge no way to display a webpage for example.
Other than that, it's great. I love it.

I purchased my Roku stick a month ago!!! Excellent streaming!!! Many options to choose from!!! The best thing to have when your on the go as well or relaxing at home.
