Personally I chose Roku specifically because NHL Gamecenter is supported, and I can stream my out of market games onto my big screen TV now. Additionally, I no longer pay monthly rates for cable, and instead subscribe to internet tv options like Hulu and Netflix (admittedly with limited entertainment options, but on the other hand, everything is on demand, no need to wait for my show to come on TV).
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased Roku for a specific purpose, and I have never been happier with it, I really don't need all of the features that come with it but if I need them I am sure I will use them.

Useful, but with stability/reliability problems.

Pros: Well-designed remote. High quality sound and picture. The headphones-into-remote design is a work of genius.
Cons: frequently requires cold reboot (by powering down) due to lock-ups and other misbehaviors.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Roku is very glitchy and I have yet to make it through an entire movie without having The Roku freeze up and then I have to unplug it and plug it back in and reset it. Maybe I should've waited a few more years the technology probably would have improved but I wanted to give it a shot. I now have my computer hooked up to my TV and although it is a bit harder to find movies and such it plays flawlessly when I find the program I want to watch. Maybe in a few years I will buy one and try it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
