We switched from a Vizio to the Roku and it is like night and day. There is no comparison, Roku has so much more and is so much easier to use.

two issues compromise excellent product

it's easy to set up in most ways and the access to programming is excellent. however, the setup and use are VERY tedious, since you have to enter information using the "grid" approach where the alphabet must be spaced through and then the correct letter entered. even a small keyboard, though it would increase the size of the remote, would be a big advantage. In fact, the smallness of the remote just increases the chances of misplacing it. Second, since signing up I've gotten about a million e-mails which i have not had time to read. I don't know if they are critical or just fluff.

Everything is worthy of 5 except the terrible lacking of an on/off switch.
Any time the unit freezes up I have to pull the plug and start all over. A simple off/or switch would have given it a 5

Disappointed

I thought that I would be able to "cut the cable cord" when I got my Roku 3. I have been very disappointed that isn't the case. I have not been able to watch current episodes of my favorite channels. From as far as I can tell in addition to purchasing the roku, additional subscriptions are required to access older seasons of programs we like to watch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I own two Roku three players: they work like a charm, and the remote works faster than my cable remote. The efficiency of the system accesses my Netflix quickly and allows me to thumb through movie synopsis's thoroughly before I select one to watch. The system permits me to acquire other apps, and accessibility to: Hulu, Blockbuster, and other pay sites. Was very easy to set up, and the ear plug listening allows me and others to watch movies without disturbing others in the household. The remote also acts as a gaming control.

Error with Xbox one

Roku works great just sucks because a purple screen always pops up every five minutes (copy written screen) for like 30. this is getting really annoying and really needs to be fix
