I bought the Roku 3 as a solution after i had cut my cable. the1500+ channels most of them suck. I wont deny that, but if you have HULU, Netflix, Amazon and VUDU. This totally makes it worth cancelling cable The Roku performs great! I am a heavy VUDU user. I especially highly recommend this device to VUDU users and cable cutters. Theres really a lot more to it. Check it out yourself. You will not regret it Wooooooooooo!

I purchased the Roku 3 about a month ago. Absolutely impressed with this product in all aspects. Still exploring the vast amount of media available and best of all.... at NO COST.

It's fast!

I have had the first 2 ROKU boxes and was happy with them, but I decided to upgrade to the ROKU 3. I have high speed internet for my work so the ROKU 3 impressed me with its own quick response to my wireless signal.
I like the menu choices of free links to news and movies. However, the free, no fee movies have tons of extra commercials that repeat incessantly and you can't fast forward through them.
Youtube has a fantastic selection of movies, TV shows, wildlife and instructional videos. Youtube also has its share of inappropriate videos and poor language - I guess that's free speech but they cross the line a lot. You just have to be picky what you watch.
One really great feature is the headset connection to the remote. You can watch a movie with the headphones while other are asleep.
I don't use cable because I don't like the choices of shows.

I just bought this new Roku to replace the old one I'd had for years. I'm amazed at how much faster it is.....no waiting for programs to load. And I can go directly to Netflix, which is what I mostly watch, in one step from the remote. I love my new Roku!!

This is my second Roku (i upgraded to a faster model), and I've loved them both. Through my channel lists I've discovered a ton of shows I never knew existed, some of them far superior to anything on cable.

Roku 3 does not have voice activation

I received a Roku 3 and it was really easy to hook up to my t.v. as advertised. There are a lot of shows to watch but many are not free. However, the biggest disappointment of the Roku 3 was the adverisement of voice activation. This is not true. This only comes with the MUSTANG Roku 3. Their home page does not advertise this. What I have read from others, the Roku 2 is the same as the Roku 3 but $25 cheaper. My advise is if you want voice activation, make sure you get the Mustang because this is misleading. Otherwise, it is a nice little product and it doesn't take up a lot of room. Not sure if will save me money or not in the long run, but it will be nice to not have to have to pay for all the junk on t.v.

We bought two Roku 1. We loved them, however after about 4 years, one began to lag a lot, so we decided to buy a Roku 2. It is wonderful! No lagging, streaming, etc. I love the new apps and how Netflix looks. Easier to use and works great!!
