Within 15 minutes of opening the box, I had the Roku3 booting up. In 30 minutes, I was streaming HiDef movies from my PC. This is a great product and I use it daily.

The device is absolute great. I've heard form a friend that Cloudio TV App is available on Roku now. I was wondering if there are any instruction on how to find this app and download it.
Cheers

I got the LT first and purchased a Roku 3 more recently for the wifi headphones. It's a life changing device for tv and film lovers, not to mention the music, news, fitness, and so much more. Super easy to set up and transportable to anywhere with a wireless connection. I love it and have recommended it to many people.

Just got my Roku-3 a couple of days ago. Set up was an absolute snap. Instructions were easy to follow for registering the device. I was up and running and viewing etflix within 30 minutes of receiving my unit in the mail. My unit sits pretty far from my wi-fi, but I have had no reception issues.
Only negative is the remote can be a little confusing when trying to erase letters when typing in searches.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and have no regrets. You can look around and find lots of the channels on your PC but may have to register or download  something. this streaming player lets you play channels at no risk to your PC and personal data. I highly recommend this to everybody. I reduced my TWC to basic today.

This review is only our experiences with the Roku 3. Nothing about what it come with or how to set it up - you can get that info anywhere. My wife and I bought a Roku 3 at Radio Shack for $100.00. We wanted the best viewing and audio options that we could reasonably afford, so we also got an HDMI cable for another $20.00. We got a $10.00 Radio Shack gift card just for buying the Roku. The reason we got it was because our basic cable bill went from $21.00 per month to $38.00 per month (over a 6 year period) with little change in any programming. The Roku will pay for itself in 3 months time!
We were already subscribed to Netflix streaming service. For now that is all we need to subscribe to. There are many channels to choose from, most of which are free. For the most part they are specialty channels - several channels are horror movies only, some cooking only, some public access channels from different cities all over the nation. Of the free channels mostly what you get are really old movies - obscure B-movie drive-in kinda' flix. The cartoon channels are mostly from the 1920's to 1960's. The ones that are more recent in many cases are not full episodes - just clips 1 to 3 minutes long. The news channels are also in a clips format, usually by stories. There are some audio only options that turned out to be talk radio. The channels that have tv series are usually old black and white shows, some of which I never heard of, which can be a very good thing. One example is on Popcorn Flix you can watch the original black and white Dragnet tv series, but none of the color episodes from 1967 forward. Obviously if you pay for subscriptions, you will have a much better chance of more recent viewing. Oh yeah, most of the games you will have to pay for - between $1 - $5 per game. On many channels you get the option of watching a show commercial free for 99 cents. If you do the free version then the ads are usually 30 seconds or less and they will run 2 or 3 in a row - much, much better than what you are used to having to sit thru with regular tv. One thing I REALLY like is being able to watch what you want when you want and pause anytime and pick it up later. It's like having a DVR but you have to watch the ads. If up to the minute news and most recent programming is important to you, then you better stick with regular tv. If you have an open mind and like sorting thru ancient tv shows then the Roku 3 is definitely worth the money.
