Huge mistake!

The ice dispenser jams almost every time it's used, probably 4 out of 5 times. We had to remove the "quick-chill" shelf that covers the ice maker so that we could access it manually. Otherwise, the ice dispenser would jam, and we'd end up with 30 cubes of ice crashing onto the floor. Since this model doesn't even produce enough ice for a family of only two adults anyway, we can't afford to waste it!
The water coming out of the dispenser is not chilled ,just filtered, even though my older, cheaper model included this very nice feature. Fruits and veggies in the two bottom drawers are apt to freeze if the drawer is more than half full. Frozen cucumbers, carrots and celery are really unappetizing, if you've ever wondered.
Very little room in the in-door shelves; I'm unable to fit nearly as much as I was in my 10-year old, slightly smaller model. This means I have to use valuable shelf space for condiments, dressings, etc.
The only good thing I have to say is that it's pretty, and the finish is easily kept clean and fingerprint free. However, I'd happily clean up a few fingerprints if the inside functioned properly. As soon as we can afford to, we will be replacing this with anything but a Frigidaire. Big disappointment, and big, expensive mistake. :-(

Hello Puma 53, I am sorry you are not pleased with your new refrigerator. Based on the information you have provided, it does appear that there could be a link between the frozen produce, ice jamming and slow ice production. There is an air channel on the wall between the freezer and the fresh food compartments. Check that the "flapper" is not frozen open (a mirror will help you see inside). Good value

We like this fridge - it was the best price for a counter depth (we have a tiny kitchen) and it holds a lot for the size. Only complaint is trying to use the filtered water dispenser- it's too close to the ice dispenser so refilling water bottles is a pain.

We have had this fridge almost 2 months. Everything is really great. Love the built in water/ice dispenser, keeps everything cold, love the temp display for the fridge and the freezer.

So much more than we had

We needed to replace an old top freezer frig and wanted ice and water in the door but heard so many bad things about it on many different models that we almost decided against it. But when reviewing all our choices it came down to GE and Frigidaire. When we were able to actually see first hand the two models we were taken with the lighting, drawers and door space of the Frigidaire and decided to take our chances on the water and ice in the door and what a great feature! (Knock on wood). We love our new refrigerator and are slowly saving up for a dishwasher and stove. Oh, and the finger proof finish on the Gallery line is very good.

This is the first fridge I've bought new instead of used and it is amazing. I love the light that slowly comes on especially when I come down for a drink at night; Instead of being blinded by a bright light, I love how it slowly yet efficiently comes on for me to see. Aside from a really sqeaky drawer, the only downside is that I have to put a small wood plank underneath the hind wheels (which is actually another downfall, in which the fridge can move easily if not placed correctly) in order to properly level the fridge. It only adjusts in the front with leveling, and because my floor is uneven, it makes it kind of frustrating. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this fridge, especially if your kitchen floor is level!

Good value purchase

I NEEDED a counter depth refrigerator in stainless. I'm not big on bells and whistles. I just want to store my food and keep it cold! The water is not chilled from the dispenser but not a big deal to me. It is a tad louder than my last refrigerator but there was a huge price difference. Basically, I give it a good value, you get what you pay for and this fridge fits our needs and budget!

Cools fine. Drawers keep items cooler and the refrigerator rarely freezes the greens. Drawer glides break with regular cleaning / use. Would like stronger and less brittle plastic for glide areas.
