So Much More Trouble Than It's Worth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge brand new and after only 4 months the filter needs to be swapped out, only one person has been using it--this is ridiculous! I've been having trouble with the ice maker getting jammed constantly which, in turn, caused the water to overflow and damaged my new wood floors! I have my old fridge in storage, I may just swap this expense fridge out for the old reliable...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh no, bethalex! I can only imagine how frustrating that was! Our guidelines for water filter replacement are 4-6 months depending upon water and ice usage. In hard water areas, like southern California, the water filter will need to be changed more frequently. Be on the lookout for an Email from me shortly with more information. Warm regards, Ruth

I will not buy another Frigidaire

I purchased my FGHC2331PF4 about 2 years ago and finally got the water line ran for the ice maker and dispenser. My problem is the main water solenoid valve and the dispenser solenoid valve are powered ALL the time. Water pours out of the dispenser without the paddle engaged.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noisy fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge makes a lot of noise. Ive had service on it right from the beginning. freezer will frost up and drop in temperature. Freezer door pops open when the fridge door is shut. Ice dispenser jams up.

Hey Wmp136, thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. It is not unusual on a two-door refrigerator for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. The refrigerator and freezer sections are connected by air channels to allow air to pass between them. Slamming a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open. Hope this helps! -Jennifer

Some good, and some not so good

I have had this FGHC2331PF for five weeks. POSITIVELY- What I really like is the way the produce drawers keep the food nice and fresh for a long time! I also like the smudgeproof stainless. I put a little Vaseline on the drawer tracks, and I have not had a problem with squeaking drawers. NEGATIVELY - the unit does not feel very solid or sturdy (compared to my 20 year old fridge). I had produce freezing in the vege drawers, but I turned up the freezer to max - 6 degrees( which still reads well below zero on a manual thermometer) and also upped the refrig. temperature. I am hopeful that this will correct the problem. I also just experienced the problem of the ice maker not shutting off when I removed the drinking glass, and the resulting mess of ice on the floor. Though I had read about this in reviews so it was not totally unexpected - it is very disappointing. I have not yet contacted Frigidaire to see if there is a fix for this problem. If there is, I would raise my review level.

Thank you for sharing your refrigerator concerns, Teri2016. I suggest leaving your glass under the lever to allow the controls to catch up to speed with the ice dispenser module. You may also find that by adjusting the humidity controls to a higher setting will keep your food from freezing in the vegetable drawers. I hope this information is helpful.
