Looks good

LeeCurtis, thank you for sharing your refrigerator review with us. Our records indicate your previous call was for ice jamming, and then dispensing all at once. Without you stating what is happening with the ice maker, I am going to give you some things to check as if the matter has happened again. Are there any ice cubes stuck between the ice maker and the rear of the ice bin? If so, please remove the cubes and put the bin in the proper position. If this didn’t help, check to see if ice has melted and frozen around the auger in your ice bin (the spiral metal bar in the bottom). If so, please remove the ice container, thaw and empty the contents (my family uses too much ice for me to melt it-so I put it in a bowl), clean and dry the container, and replace in proper position. When new ice is made the dispenser should operate normally. If you are not using ice very frequently you may need to shake the ice bin every 2 days or so to break up the ice so it dispenses easily. States like Florida have hard water, this can impact the life of your water filter. Have you changed the water filter lately? A clogged water filter will first impact ice production (because of water pressure needs not being met). I love the counter depth version.

We bought this refrigerator and a stove and microwave together. They look good, but the refrigerator is uneven in cooling (items freeze on the top shelf) and the door occasionally fails to close (seal) fully.

Thank you for sharing your refrigerator experience with us, fjohnson. Both the freezing on the top shelf and the door failing to seal fully may be related. I have some things for you to check. Your refrigerator should have a ¼ inch tilt from front to back (your installer should have done this), page 6 in your Owner’s Manual shows you how to adjust this. The refrigerator should be level with the cabinet sitting solid on all corners. Do a visual inspection of the door gasket, making sure it is fully seated in the retaining channel. Look for open areas between the gasket and the body of the cabinet. If your gasket is pulling out of the channel:
1) Clean the gasket with a wet soapy cloth, then rinse and dry.
2) Feed the gasket back into the retaining channel, ensuring the gasket is secure all around the door.
If the gasket is fully seated in the retaining channel, but still doesn’t not seal completely, use a hair dryer to carefully heat the gasket while the door is closed. Be careful not to damage the interior door panel or gasket by applying too much heat!
If gasket seal is still open after you have done these steps, flip the gasket 180 degrees:
1) Completely remove the gasket from the retaining channel around the door edge.
2) Rotate the gasket half a turn (180 degrees).
3) Reinstall the gasket by inserting the corners first into the retaining channel (kind of like a popular plastic storage bag that zips to lock).
4) Work the gasket towards the middle, ensuring that it is fully seated in the retaining channel.

attractive exterior and interior

Lousy Icemaker

Ice maker spews ice cubes all over. After changing water filter. Change filter light is still on. Web site does not show proper filter cartridge.

Awesome Fridge
