Frigidaire Gallery 22.2 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Side

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about the refrigerator, except maybe the ice maker. The counter depth size is perfect and exactly what I wanted. The 22.2 cu. ft. is smaller than the non counter depth refrigerators,but I knew that before I bought. We are a family of 2, so there is more than enough room for us. The stainless steel finish is easy to keep clean with a soft cloth. I love the digital temp. controls. The refrigerator runs quietly as does the ice maker. The only thing I am not sure about is the ice maker. While it makes enough ice, the ice sometimes gets stuck and needs to be manually removed. This is more of an annoyance than a problem that needs service.

This refrigerator can be annoying the noise it makes when it runs which it runs a lot. The ice dispenser sometimes is irrateing that it don't hardly put any ice out and then all of a sudden everything comes at once and plugs the shute. Our old Hot Point far better refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Painter 77, thank you for sharing your refrigerator review with us. It sounds like your dispenser is jamming. If so, I have some items for you to check in regards to the jamming dispenser. Are there any ice cubes stuck between the ice maker and the rear of the ice bin? If so, please remove the cubes and put the bin in the proper position. If this didn’t help, check to see if ice has melted and frozen around the auger in your ice bin (the spiral metal bar in the bottom)? If so, please remove the ice container, thaw and empty the contents (my family uses too much ice for me to melt it-so I put it in a bowl), clean and dry the container, and replace in proper position. When new ice is made the dispenser should operate normally. If you are not using ice very frequently you may need to shake the ice bin every 2 days or so to break up the ice so it dispenses easily. Modern, high-efficiency compressors operate much faster than older models. They are equipped with low energy consumption fans and compressors. The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. These refrigerators will run most of the time and only stop when a defrost cycle is needed to thaw ice buildup in the freezer. Page 22 of your Owner’s Manual addresses the normal sounds your refrigerator will exhibit. If the sounds you are hearing are not listed, or this hasn’t helped, please don’t hesitate to reconnect with us directly for assistance. Call our Customer Engagement Center at 888-203-1389. Horrible item

This is second same refrigerator after we battle for 6 months repair!!! First one. Second the same. MOISTURE and Freezing at same time!!! doors not even. DROPPING in water dispenser.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
