Good choice for counterdepth side-by-side

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a new refrigerator after our old one died. This was the best choice in a counter depth side by side unit, balancing price and features.
The unit is just the right size for us and fits nicely with the cabinets. The countertop depth keeps it from being a massive presence in the kitchen. We like the smudge proof doors (although the handles show some spots). We think the drawers in the refrigerator side could be improved - the plastic on plastic guides sound like fingernails on a chalkboard. Some Teflon tape has improved this for now. Access to the icemaker on/off switch could be easier (you have to remove a tray first).
We've had this unit a little over a month and we think we made a good choice.

Fantastic Features

Everything about it is wonderful from the deep interior that hold so much food to the excellent ice maker it is a great buy. I would buy this refrigerator again if i had to.

Pleased with everything, except the ice dispenser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife & I are pleased with nearly all the features, particularly the counter depth. The one exception is the ice dispenser which is difficult or nearly impossible to control the amount of ice. We often have a full glass of ice, or OVER flowing glass of ice, when we only want 3 or 4 cubes. It is quite irritating and apparently it is something that we need to "learn" the proper technique to control the amount of ice dispensed. I should mention that the "Chill Drawer" does not slide smoothly, in fact when you open and close the drawer it makes a high pitched squeal which is quite annoying.

Hey Handie, it sounds like your dispenser is jamming. Please look in the bottom of your ice bin. If ice has melted & frozen around the auger (spiral metal rod at the bottom), remove the ice bin, empty, clean, and dry it. After reinstalling it you should have no more ice jam. Please remove the chill drawer completely from the refrigerator. Rub the top of the drawers on the right and left with either olive oil or waxed paper. Looks great, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our new refrigerator for just over 30 days now and are mostly satisfied with the exception of one big issue. The unit is attractive, the lighting is good and space is adequate. The largest complaint is that the plastic drawers are squeaky/noisy when pulling them open. The top draw was so bad we removed the drawer and no longer use it as it was like finger nails on a chalk board. The other drawers squeak as well but we can put up with it, but are reminded every time we pull one open that this is a major issue for this unit. Other than the annoying drawers, it is fine. If the drawers were quiet we would rate this higher but until they figure out a better glide system with better plastic/resin, it is average at best. Until this issue is fixed, we would not recommend the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice for price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect price point for a counter depth refrigerator. This refrigerator does not have all of the bells and whistles and isn't the biggest, but I could not find a better one for the price and I'm very pleased with it, so far. The ice maker is loud when it dumps, but I don't know of one that is not. Otherwise, it is very quiet. I LOVE the smudge proof finish on the front. The handles do get smudges, but are easy to wipe down. I have no problem recommending this product if you need a reasonably priced counter depth refrigerator.

Good looking fridge
