Would not buy this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this model because I needed a counter depth and this was the only one I could find that fit the space I have. I typically do not like side by side models and I am not happy with it. The water dispenser leaked from day one. A friend saw it and said to me, "Oh - you have the same leak that I have." (She had the same exact model.) And it seems Frigidaire did not send the correct part with the refrigerator. The bottom of the water dispenser should have a small catch tray in it - but it did not come with one. The inside of the machine seems cheap - the drawers are clunky moving in and out and sometimes they fall off their track completely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this refrigerator for several months now. My first issue was with the delivery. The first two that were delivered were badly damaged. The second issue is that the vegetable drawer is constantly freezing my vegetables. I hope it is fixable. The last issue is that when I open the door to the refridgerator and freezer, the light SLOWLY turns on. I suppose who ever designed it that way thought it would be estetically pleasing. It's just a personal preference but I really don't like it.

Oh no! Stern52, I am dismayed to hear vegetables are freezing in your crisper drawer. Please check the humidity controls on the crisper drawers. If the controls are fully opened (lower humidity), it might lead to freezing temperatures in the crisper drawers. Adjust the controls to a higher humidity setting. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this fridge about a year. It looks great. It is small for a family of four. It is noisy. The drawers squeak when you open them. Ice dispenser is finicky. Overall, it is OK. Probably would not purchase again.

Oh my! I am dismayed to read of your refrigerator experience, TeddyP. You can try rubbing the drawer glides with either waxed paper or olive oil to ease the squeaking. Are there any ice cubes stuck between the ice maker and behind the ice bin? If so, please remove the cubes and replace the bin in the proper position. If the dispenser is still jamming, check the bottom of the ice bin, to see if has ice melted and frozen around the auger in your ice bin (the spiral metal bar in the bottom)? If so, please remove the ice container, thaw and empty the contents (my family uses too much ice for me to melt it, so I put it in a bowl), clean and dry the container, and replace in proper position (being careful to avoid rotating that auger). When new ice is made, the dispenser should operate normally. If you are not using ice very frequently, you may need to shake the ice bin every 2 days or so, to break up the ice so it dispenses easily. The normal sounds your refrigerator may exhibit are addressed on page 29 of your Owner’s Manual. Well built!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so worried that the smooth surface of the doors would scratch easily, but thankfully they do not! I was so pleased to see that after accidentally dropping the vacuum handle and having it run all the way down the front of one door, it didn't even leave a mark. Love this fridge! It's also very roomy inside and the ice and water work great!

Nice counter depth

It would be a very small refrigerator for a large family. It is good for our family of five though. I like the side-by-side design. The smudge proof stalinless steel is nice.

One design flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No downsides other than when dispensing full size ice cubes it plugs up the spout . We just use crushed ice and avoid cubes. The slim feature is perfect for our space.

So far so good

The only complaint I have at this time is that sometimes the cubed ice gets stuck in the dispenser and when you un-jam the ice you get a lot of ice falling out onto the floor. Very frustrating.
