Nice refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few weeks ago, because we needed a counter depth refrigerator. However, it is still too deep. We thought it was only 27 1/2" deep, but it ended up being 28 1/2" deep. Still can't use the drawer along side of it. The ice machine seems to be possessed sometimes.....sometimes it won't shut off or the ice gets clogged. The water sometimes doesn't shut off. Other that those problems it's a pretty good refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yikes! I am sad that your ice maker needed service so soon and unexpectedly, Jimbol1. However, I am glad that the matter was taken care of under your warranty coverage. I regret to hear your crisper drawers are frustrating you! Please remove the crisper drawers completely, and then rub the gliders on each side with olive oil or waxed paper. This may help ease the sliding in and out. When reinstalling, ensure they are correctly in the guides on each side, and that nothing is in the way. Work the drawer back and forth a few times, this should help it to be quieter and easier to open and close. Over time the bin should become easier to move. I hope this helped! Exterior finish is wonderful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this fridge for 2 weeks and love it! It has all the features on it that I need, especially the door water/ice compartment. Saves me energy by not having to keep opening the door for water or ice. The finish on it is exceptional where I do not have to keep wiping off finger prints.

I like the fridge over all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The draws in the fridge stick, screech and are hard to open. It's been only 4 months since I bought it and the ice maker isn't working correctly. Also the fridge door has dragged and not stayed open correctly since I got it. Thought it was just acting that way because it was new but come to find out that the door hinge is broken on the bottom. Only 4 months old and not all the parts are covered under the warranty to have the hinge fixed. It came to me that way, broken and you're still making me pay for some of the parts, not right!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Frigidaire

I do not love or even like the ice maker though. It is always getting stopped up and has to be opened and ice removed in order for it to stop. Its annoying to say the least!!!

Oh no! We want you to love your new refrigerator, lberry. I have some ideas that might just help change your mind. Please check to see if there are any ice cubes stuck between the ice maker and the rear of the ice bin? If so, please remove the cubes and replace the bin in the proper position. If the dispenser is still jamming, check the bottom of the ice bin, has ice melted and frozen around the auger (the spiral metal bar in the bottom)? If so, please remove the ice container, thaw and empty the contents (my family uses too much ice for me to melt it, so I put it in a bowl), clean and dry the container, and replace in proper position. When new ice is made, the dispenser should operate normally. If you are not using ice very frequently, you may need to shake the ice bin every 2 days or so, to break up the ice so it dispenses easily. Ice maker slow

Yikes! Swamp buddy, hate to hear of your experience with your new refrigerator. I have some hints that may help with the slow ice production you are experiencing. Please check to ensure the water valve going to the refrigerator is all the way open. Recommended water supply pressure should fall between 30 psi and 100 psi. Are you on a well or have a reverse osmosis system (these have variances with water pressure that may impact both water dispensing and ice production)? You will find more trouble shooting tips for slow ice production, on page 35 in your Owner’s Manual. Normal sounds your refrigerator will exhibit are addressed on page 29 of your Owner’s Manual.
