Ice Dispenser is THE WORST!
on April 15, 2015

Our landlord bought this refrigerator when the old one died. Most of it is fine, but the ice dispenser is an endless source of frustration. The cubes seem like they are too big for the chute and CONSTANTLY get stuck, by which I mean several times a day. Also the ice in the bin will get stuck and not dispense at all, which we have to remedy by shaking the bin. Also, sometimes it will shoot out a great amount of ice at a time, overflowing the cup and spilling all over the floor. I would have rather just had old-fashioned ice trays. Also, the plastic of one of the shelves cracked in the middle for no apparent reason.

Worst Frig Ever

Purchased Frig 33 days ago and the Frigidaire went completely out... Stop working. Ice maker is loud and ice dispenser clogs with ice when using. Not worth two cents.

Disappointed

I am a developer and bought 5 of these models. One of the units, the compressor would not shut off. I had the warranty company out 3 times, each time switching out relay, component boards, etc.
Their final answer was that was normal. Which I know it is not. The motor will be burned out in a few years. I used to buy Frigidaire Gallery exclusively, but Ive had to move to other companies. I don't have time for a 20% failure rate.

Hey SJOY! We want to personally thank you for sharing your important quality and design feedback. Your voice and suggestions matter to us as we constantly strive to be the best home appliance company in North America. Our new refrigerators are designed to be more efficient in that they use newer components and run at a consistent speed/temperature for a longer period of time using less energy. If your refrigerator is located in a non-humid and not warm environment and you have set your appliance to the appropriate temperature settings (37ºF for refrigerator and 0ºF for your freezer section) you should notice that it runs at a lower speed for a longer period of time. This is one way it is designed to save on energy. Appliances use more energy when they constantly turn off and on. Our refrigerators are designed to allow the fan components inside to run after the compressor turns on. This allows the internal components to cool and the machine to rest even though you may still hear something running. We ask that if you have any remaining questions or concerns, please contact your local retailer or us directly. Kindest regards –

Leaks every day and the service man can't fix it!
on July 17, 2015

I bought this one month ago and can't get it to stop leaking! The service man has come three times in one week and can't determine why it leaks. I now leave paper towels around it to avoid daily leaks. I now have to call the service again to come back to see what we can do. I'm soo disappointed and hope we can resolve this and fix it. It's too new for this to happen. My fear is that we don't catch the daily leak and it will damage the kitchen floor.

Better description is garbage

Bought this in April. The ice through door is junk. You cannot get cube ice in a glass without having to sweep up piles of ice because it jams, then you have the pleasure of mopping up the melted ice you could not get up in time. Do not waste your money. In addition it is constantly making strange noises.

Hello Bob the Plumber! Have you noticed that ice has melted and frozen around the auger? If so, remove your ice container, thaw, and empty the contents. Clean your container, wipe dry, and replace in the proper position. When new ice is made, it should dispense properly. If you notice cubes are jammed between the ice maker and the rear of your ice bin, remove the cubes. Lastly do you notice that your cubes are small or frozen together? I would recommend viewing the normal operating sounds and sights of your refrigerator. This information may be found in your use and care guide. If you have any further questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us directly. -Kind Regards, Theresa

Nice but problems in first month
on February 15, 2016
Posted by: Meldesigns
from San Diego, CA, United States
I bought this a month ago and my tenant lost all of his groceries... twice, because something went wrong and it stopped keeping things cold and freezing. I was really upset because my tenant had lost his groceries with the first dead fridge and I thought by spending more and going with a good brand that we would have no problems. I am really hoping that we have no more problems from here on out.

Unit Failed after 30 days of use
on March 14, 2016

from Palo, IA, United States
The Frigidaire Side by Side refrigerator was installed in our 5th Wheel RV. Thirty days after use the unit appeared to cycle through an auto-defrost. After the auto-defrost, the unit did not maintain either the refrigerator or freezer temperature. The temp in the refrigerator would cycle from the setting of 35 to 59 degrees, regardless of the time of day. The freezer would reach temperatures of 40 degrees. We were forced to use the freezer as a refrigerator. The unit is currently at the RV dealer that sold us the 5th wheel for warranty repair of the discrepant unit.
