Poor Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had some very good Frigidaire appliances over the years so I am very disappointed with the stove and refrigerator I have now. The side by side fridge water and/or ice may not shut off. There is a small catch basin for minor water spills but there is no drain in it. The refrigerators ice cubes hit the floor so I have to keep a boot mat in the floor to keep the ice cubes from shooting all over the floor and melting. The ice cubes jam up due to a poor design. Often when you close the refrigerator door it blows open the freezer door just enough to melt stuff but not open enough for you to see it's open. So it makes a mess with water, ice and spoils my food.
The stove I hate as the display is small and the thermostat is off. If I need the temp to be 350 then I have to set it to 360. It doesn't have a nice simple timer. You can't use the stove without reading the manual. I hate how long it takes for the electric burner to get hot enough.The stove has a glass top which requires a special cleaner and a razor
blade to keep it looking nice. Every time it's used it needs special cleaning. Just a nuisance. Please do your research so you know are going to behappy with your purchase. My new Frigidaire stainless appliances
came with our new home. I absolutely hate them.

The only issue is sometimes it makes noise. Also the rack holder plugin is not the same with the picture in the manual. Overall it's good.

Very easy to see and find everything - interior lighting very good. Features like having the top shelf in the freezer is just for ice cream is great. We are happy with our decision.

Nice looking fridge, but not the best one I've had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not enough door storage due to extra large bins. Does not get below 40 degrees F in the fridge section. Freezer works great though. Have had a tough time getting service out to look into the cooling. We'll see how this turns out since it's only 2 months old.

Bmd305, I certainly understand your refrigerator section is not cooling properly. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you and your family.

You can check your damper which is located on the left-hand side in the rear of your refrigerator section. While your refrigerator is running you can use a mirror to check your damper. I would check to see if your damper door is open and your evaporator fan is running. If so, I would recommend having an authorized service provider out to properly diagnose your refrigerator. If your damper is open but your evaporator fan is not running you can try using a hair dryer on your damper door for about five to ten minutes to see if the door closes. If it does close please allow 24 hours. If there is still freezing I would have an authorized servicer out. If your damper door is closed, check to see if you can feel cold air coming in from your freezer section. If yes, the damper seal may need to be replaced. If no, the control system may be bad.

Spacious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge was chosen already in the home we purchased. It has tons of room, even though I was afraid at first that we'd be out of room too quickly. The buttons are easy to understand and operate, but it's just a little too noisy sometimes.
