not reliable, broke after 2 years

I may have gotten a lemon. Freezer side started showing higher than set temperature. Then gradually gotten warmer where it's the same temp as the fridge side. After that both side just not cooling anymore. 2 service repair after (out of pocket, outside 1 year warranty), I've been told to take it and toss it out. Fridge is 2 years, 2 months old. Good to see that others are having success and liking it but I can't recommend this product after what happened to mine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really want to like this fridge...

I really want to like this fridge. Bought it at a great price in Feb, 2016. It looks really nice in my kitchen and has a nice use of space. I especially like the temp display on the ice maker and the ice cream shelf.
I did read the reviews of others who complained of noises and ice maker problems but thought they were just being picky but OMG, I have never heard a refrigerator make this kind and this much noise. 3 distinct noises: clicking noises that sound like my dog lapping from his water dish but louder, moaning and a loud whirring sound that is loud enough to get your attention over the sound of the TV. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get the ice maker problems that some have complained about. I will say that dispensing ice was a challenge in the beginning but I have since got the hang of it.
So come on Frigidare, you know there are problems with this fridge. You know that it make too much noise and that the ice maker problems are too common to just be quality control issues. How about fixing the problems and servicing those sold to resolve the complaints. You guys have made millions of quality refrigerators. You can't tell me that you can't resolve these issues if you put some effort into it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey Jimmy Th , I understand that you are concerned about the clicking/moaning sounds that your refrigerator is making. Typically this is defrost timer turning on/off on the refrigerator and is considered normal sounds. I hope this helps! Courtney

Water light indicator has never worked. The freezer temperature digits are out.

Overall Love It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge just over a month ago, and so far I am extremely pleased. Sometimes I have to get really close to it just to see if it's running because it is so quiet. However, and I had an answer from the tech and I understand completely that the compressor will have a high pitched whine which can be quite bothersome to me. It doesn't bother my husband because he can't hear high tones , but I'm particularly sensitive to them . I was curious if anyone noticed any changes in their dogs behaviours because it's kind of like a dog whistle or a tuning fork sound. I was also curious if anyone went completely berserk when it finally drove them crazy? Regardless, I am extremely pleased with the fridge, it is attractive and does what it is supposed to do. My only hope is that I don't make headlines one day by going mad from the buzzing in my head!

Love the features

Ice Layers in the bottom of Freezer

we purchased our house almost 7 years ago, it was a "flip" and the appliances came with the house, unfortunately not sure where the appliances were stored or purchased from, but over the last year now, we have been dealing with the freeze up at the bottom of the inside of our freezer making the water then eventually drip out onto the hardwood floors and causing some water damage. We have ripped the freezer apart, we have poured Boiling water into the drain hole and still after just doing this on Sunday we already have ice on the bottom of the freezer and its only Wednesday! Not sure what other options we have. But i wouldnt recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

Freezer leaks and it is damaging the floor

Ice forms on the floor of the freezer, and then water leaks out of the freezer. This leak damaged the cabinets in the the counter next to the fridge.
I do not recommend this refrigerator.
