Not a Wide Angle Lighting System

Unit attaches nicely and securely into the Multi-Interface Shoe. I was first surprised when camera was set at its widest angle setting and there was a circle of light in the field of view. One has to zoom in about half-way on my CX-900 camera to get a fully lit view. Using one 60 watt bulb for light causes the camera to use 33dB gain increase. Using camera light the number is reduced to 15dB. Light is good for more close up filming with narrow field of view. Light is not strong enough for long distant use (> 8 - 10 feet).
