This is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. good plot, AMAZING special effects and a very good re-watch value. I've seen it about 5 times already

This movie is incredible! It has everything you would want in a film, an fascinating plot, lots of exciting action, hunky characters and remarkable picture quality. It makes you want to be a Spartan, well I know it sure made me want to be a Spartan! This movie kicks butt and is one of the best movies out there right now. It is a must-see movie!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I honestly didnt know what to expect when I put this dvd in the first time. I just kept hearing that I "had to see it".
Amazing. Easily one of the most visually amazing pictures I have ever seen. Great story and characters as well.
I highly recommend!

Wow.. what stunning movie. The story really makes you pay attention, and the visuals are OUTSTANDING. There is slow motion for much of the fight scenes, which is good, because you don't want to miss any of this action. Most of it was filmed in blue screen, so that they could add stylized creatures, and enhance the visuals to the nth degree. I would recommend this film for the action/adventure watching people.

For the longest I wouldn't watch this movie because I felt that the visual style used in this movie was a knock off of the God of War video game visual style (and still do), but was finally talked into watching it and all I could say was, "Wow!" This movie was ripe with action and a lot of heart making for a really nice surprise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I saw this movie on IMAX and it was unbelievable. I bought the DVD the first day it was released and only wish I had IMAX at my house as I truly believe that's the only way anyone should watch any movie.
What's great about it: Lots of Action, Beautiful Women, Great story.
What's not so great: There seems to be some missing scenes, they show them building the wall with dead persians but don't show them meeting
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this is definately a guy movie. It satisfies a lot of what guys look for. Obviously not for children
What's great about it: Able to view scenes happening to fast in theaters
What's not so great: The Imax is a much better representation

Great Movie

Movie is based on Frank Millers graphic novel 300, this movie has it all, great action and a very graphic novel look to it, the movie goes more for the tale of the 300 spartans last stand, than historical fact, but movies are for entertainment than making sure it got every historical fact right, when I seen 300 at the theatre I never looked at my watch, the time went fast, other than being somewhat slowed down by the sidestory with the Spartan queen.
I would recommend this movie, if your a fan of action movies or even good war movies, this will fit the bill, Zack Synder did a wonderful job directing this movie, and the battle scenes are simply amazing, and the CGI is not overdone, it blends in nicely with the live characters and story, the movie does have graphic scenes of violence and some nudity and adult themes, Rated R, I wouldn't recommend kids being able to watch this.
I have the regular edition DVD, with just the commentary and trailer, if you want more info on the movie and features I would recommend the special edition.
What's great about it: The Directing, Cinematography and Acting.
What's not so great: The Queens sidestory
I would recommend this to a friend!
