A more intense shot of testosterone you will not find in any film. Equal parts bravado, guts and glory, "300" is simply the most exciting film to come out this year - or in several. Criticized for its violence and gore, fans of Miller's graphic novels will find that violence and gore to be as beautifully depicted on the screen as in the print version. A highly hyped CGI affair the cast could easily have been overcome by the sheer impressiveness of the physical production. To his credit director Zack Snyder is blessed with and uses a cast every bit equal to the challenge of competing with Miller's dark fantastic take of the Spartan's greatest story.
What's great about it: fighting

300 - great DVD, better Blu-ray

300 is a great movie. Before I bought a blu ray player, I knew that 300 would be the first movie I played on it. I took advantage of a sale during Christmas and purchased it. The DVD I rented months earlier was good but the blu ray was better. I have a 46 in Samsung tv and an old Pioneer receiver (no hdmi). I used an optical audio cable to connect the blu ray (Panasonic) to the receiver. I have a pretty decent subwoofer. The audio was fantastic and the picture was superb. The movie itself is great for people who are into those crazy battle scenes.
What's great about it: video quality, audio quality, screenplay
I would recommend this to a friend!

Went back to this movie and watched it again. I can't believe how great this phenomenal and artistic blood bath is. There has been enough great things said about this movie. If you haven't seen it then do yourself and your home theater a favor and treat your eyes to a stunning action film that will leave your jaw flapping in the wind.
What's great about it: Visuals, fighting, story, narration.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A movie to watch over and over again

I have owned this movie since its release and am surprised at how much I still watch the movie. It is one of my favorite movies because of how intense the battle scenes are. The battle sequences are amazing in this movie and Gerard Butler plays a great King Leonidas and the movie is filled with action from beginning to end. I will continue to watch this movie for years to come and have yet to find an ancient war movie that sparks my interest like this one
What's great about it: Battle Sequences
What's not so great: Scenery at times looks fake

When I watched this movie in theater, I came out with a very good energy. The passion and force movie makes is apt and filled one with good charge. If you like movies like BraveHeart, you probably would like it.
What's great about it: Lots of energy
What's not so great: Too gory
