How refrigerators have changed

The French Door Samsung with middle drawer is very nice. We particularly like the ice/water dispenser. The control panel is easy to read and operate. The middle drawer is great. The vegetable bins hold more than I thought they would and the adjustable shelves work quite well. The right door shelves are ample. The left door shelves are limited by the ice/water dispenser but are good for small items such as butter, etc. The freezer is easy to pull out (easy on the low back) and the small door shelf is handy for ice cream goodies. The counter depth interior provides plenty of space for a "foodie" couple like ourselves, but might not be quite large enough for a family of 4. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Love this Refrigerator

Really like the 4 door model. Has plenty of room, easy to get water & ice, tons of features. The freezer compartment is easier to arrange item and holds more than I would have thought. Like the metal configure bars in the refer drawer - you can use them or not. Have had this in my house for 7 months and absolutely no issues. I feel that for the price I couldn't beat the quality. This model was also highly rated on consumer reports. Plus it is attractive and I've had quite a few people take note of it.
Pros: Bright display, excellent cooling

Check depth carefully

So far things have been going well, I was very concerned with the ice maker as there are many, many complaints about it. It is working so far but the capacity and speed to make ice is small and long. We had to find something to fit in a built in cabinet space and this appeared to be the one. When we got it we found that the top of the doors has a very large hinge cover which eats about four inches of space so the unit will not go all the way into the space. As we needed the capacity which is small to start with we accepted it sticking out more than we planned. We like the drawer as it is very useful, but remember it takes up freezer space. It also smudges easily. Is it overpriced yes, and we really would have liked the black stainless but is even more overpriced. You have to pay more for a counter depth which does not make any sense as it is a much smaller unit.

The third drawer is a huge convenience factor. Not having to open up the whole refrigerator and just opening up that drawer is a huge convenience and energy savings factor.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: counter depth is more expensive than the other.

Good refrigerator; very bad ice maker

The design of the refrigerator is great (freezer is large, pull out drawer very convenient). But we've had the ice maker replaced twice. It leaks. Drips down the ice/water spout and the fan is very loud. The repair guy has ordered a new ice maker and is going to replace the circuit board and another part as well. Everything is a special order and right now two of the three parts are backordered. Seems to be a flaw in how the icemaker was engineered.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
