Terrible Fridge--DO NOT BUY

this fridge does not work! ice maker causes leaks in the fridge, water pools under the vegetables drawers, and fridge generally doesn't stay cold. we've had many service visits over the years, had to replace the fan just recently because of a grinding noise, and it still isn't staying cold in the fridge. food is spoiling extremely quickly, mold forms, and this fridge is just a ton of work. the design itself is nice although cleaning the vegetable drawers is complicated by needing to push down on plastic tabs -- definitely not easy and required watching a couple of different youtube videos. altogether, this fridge is not good and has been very expensive to maintain, and it's not even functioning as it should!

Ice maker defective, compressor rattling loud

this frig was purchased in 2014. the ice maker kept freezing up on us when it was about 2 years old. we defrosted the ice maker once a week because of this problem but it kept getting worse. after 6 months of doing this, we decided it wasn't worth our time anymore. the frig is now 6 years old and the frig makes a 5 second loud rattling noise each time the compressor runs which is about every 15 minutes or so. it's very loud!

Looks better than it performs

we've had our refrigerator for just 4 years. the first year, it made a very loud humming noise. samsung performed warranty repairs and it seemed to help resolve the issue. however, the sound would come back intermittently over the next few years. the ice maker failed after 3 years - this is a major issue with this fridge with countless owners complaining about it. now there is a leak in the system causing it to completely stop cooling. i've had it repaired, but this may only be a temporary fix. i have an old frigidaire in my garage that has lasted over 20 years with no issues. i guess they don't make them the way they used to.

Good refrigerator but a TERRIBLE ice maker

i really like the refrigerator but the ice maker is the worst i have ever seen. it worked for the first 6 months and has never worked again. it freezes up and all service calls never has fixed it. i would never buy another samsung with an ice maker

Love the look and size but the ice maker and door shelving could use lots of improvement . The ice maker quit working a while ago and I got tired of tinkering on it to try and make it work again, so no ice. :/. We recently threw away a second broken door shelf. They continually unhook on the sides and eventually two of them cracked and fell. I’d love to replace them. Please advise

I bought this in 2016 and have managed to nurse it for 7 years before I have finally had enough. Between the freezing of the fan blades in the fridge 3 years ago (I learned how to slightly move a sensor to keep the fan blades Ice free after troubleshooting for a month) and now freezing of the icemaker and inability to keep the fridge temp below 40f / icing up and blocked drain lines / rusted shelf support screws from condensation, its very infuriating.
Its really a shame because when it works its a fantastic fridge, it truly is. Great design and features. If I knew that they had fixed these issues I would buy another, but for me this thing is going to be recycled / junked and I will be buying a replacement from another brand.

Worst refrigerator ever! IceMaker constantly frozen solid, doesn't produce ice unless you unplug and defrost for hours. Then it works for less than 2 weeks. Plastic for door bins and freezer shelves breaks easily. Too expensive to keep buying replacement parts.
