This fridge has a multiple drawer which makes the space available more accessible. The features regarding the buttons are simple and easy to use. very quiet fridge.

Great but not great Ice maker

We love our new refrigerator but the ice makers does not perform as well as our old refrigerator. When you set it on whole cubes it still comes out partially crushed. We only set it on crushed one time and to this day the whole cubes come out somewhat chopped up. Definitely not whole. Other than that is a nice refrigerator. We especially like the middle drawer for holding canned drinks.
Pros: middle drawers

Ice Maker went out after 2 years. Reviews on Consumer Reposts (and general Google search) indicates this is a common and chronic problem.

Doors and Noisy

One feature the family really likes about the fridge is the flex drawer. Very convenient to keep kids food in there. Plus you can make it 33 degrees to keep items cold if need be.
First complaint is the door. They will not line up. For as expensive as this was, it should look good and it will not with one door being 3/8 inch lower than the other. I called Support on this and they said its not covered under warranty. I have done all the steps to adjust correctly (for sure!) Plus, I am sure that I am losing some cooling with the door not sealing correctly.
Second, and I would not be fired up about this like I am the door, is the noise. Much louder than any other fridge I have owned. The sound gets louder at times.
I would not recommend based on the door issues.
Pros: flex zone
Cons: Poor quality, noisy, door alignment

poor ice maker

We really liked the design of this refrigerator, and it fit our kitchen like a glove. But the ice maker in the refrigerator is amazingly sub-par. When it works at all, the ice maker produces a limited amount of ice that is softer than our previous refrigerator. And, on a regular basis, it ices up and stops making ice altogether. I have to defrost the ice maker with a hair dryer and scraper as often as every 3-5 days to keep it working. We had the ice maker unit replaced under warranty. Now that the refrigerator is out of warranty (it's now 3+ years old), we have had 3 service calls (and counting) in which the technician has followed Samsung's recommended steps to mitigate this known problem. The problem persists, and we were just quoted a significant (out of pocket to me) cost for replacement parts to be installed on a 4th service call. If ice is important to you, I would not recommend this refrigerator.
Pros: nice design
Cons: Did not meet expectations, very poor ice maker

I would not recommend this product to anyone. I am still paying for this refrigerator that got ICE JAMS AFTER ICE JAMS EVERY 2 DAYS. THE MONEY THAT YOU PAY THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENNING NEED TO B E RECALLLED

We have had this refrigerator for 4 years thank god we bought the extended warranty we have had ice maker problems every 9 months. Now the evaporator fan is failing due to cooling coil freeze up. Never again will we purchase a Samsung appliance. The company knows about the ice maker problems and really do not care. They

Hi MarDeb, I wish you didn't have to go through this situation, and I'd like to give you a hand here. Firstly, to prevent this from reoccurring, I suggest you verify the refrigerator is properly leveled, confirm the seals are clean and undamaged and make sure to leave two inches of space between the food and the vents. Never Again

After this experience I will not be buying a samsung appliance again. I have had this refrigerator for just 4 years and have spent about $1000 fixing it. The ice maker has broken TWICE and we have also had an issue the defroster causing the cooling not to work. For such an expensive item I expected much more than this garbage. The product is pretty but if it repeatedly breaks in such a short time whats the point. Im expecting the ice machine will break again but I refuse to put more money into this and will be replacing it.
