I read other reviews about the wire about the polarity of this wire not marked or not marked clearly, but purchased it anyway. I do not know what is the problem??? There are plus signs clearly printed the entire length of one of the cables. I had no problem connecting my Polk speakers to my Pioneer home theater receiver/amp. They sound great using this speaker wire. The only downfall I can see is if you need to run the wire in plain sight the bright copper color may be an eye sore, but that's not an issue for me since it's all hidden behind furniture in my setup.

Using this wire to connect the Insignia 200W 2 channel amp to the Insignia 6 ½" bass reflex speakers. The wire certainly does its job, which is simply to carry the signal from the receiver to the speakers. Speakers sound just fine, even at high volume. However, I do need to agree with other posters that the "++++" markings on the wire jacket for the positive connection is very, very hard to see. Not only are they a small font, they are a charcoal-gray color which is hard to see. I had to check several times before each connection to make sure I had the right polarity. A simple dashed red line would have been better. Crossing the polarity won't damage anything, but will reduce your sound quality significantly, especially the bass response, and most people will blame the speaker, receiver, or source material rather than a crossed speaker wire.
What's great about it: Gets the job done
What's not so great: Positive markings VERY hard to see

Its wire... It connects speakers to receivers. What else can you expect from it? Dynex is a trusted brand for me, and it did exactly what I needed it to.
What's great about it: easy to use, great price, works

Bought this speaker wire to hook up speakers for home theatre unit. Unfortunately, installation took quite a bit longer due to the poor coding of positive cabling. Both positive and negative cables look identical (both copper) and are encased in clear plastic sheathing. The only way to distinguish the positive cable is by the faintly embossed "+" on one side of the sheathing. Need magnifiers to install, particularly in dimly lit areas. Other than that, wiring is fine and performs as expected.
What's great about it: Flexiblity
What's not so great: Difficult to distinguish Positive and Negative cables

It was a good cheap fix for splicing in a length of wire, so that I could place my Sony surround sound speakers where I wanted them. Unfortunately with the Sony all-in-one 3D DVD Blue Ray players and surround sound they do not have conventional wire connections, so I couldn't just run all new wire, so it was pointless to buy heavy duty high performance wire. I bought the Dynex and it worked out great with splicing it to the existing wire. Eventhough it is spliced, the surround sound sounds just as good as it did before I made the splices.
What's great about it: Good Price and serves its purpose.

For cheap wire, it works at a high level. It brought out the best in my polk audio surround sound speakers. The polarity wasn't an issue with me unlike some reviews. Instead of a white line, it has small +'s everywhere that looks like a black dot. The only way this would be an issue is if your vision isn't the greatest. Great product.
What's great about it: Its cheap and it works at a high level.

The polarity markings on this wire can't be easily seen even under bright lights and using a magnifier glass which I used. If this wire was properly marked for one lead twin, then my review would be "Excellent." I was forced to pull the entire wire lengths through my fingers to determine that I was correctly connecting the red posts together between the receiver and the speaker. Too much trouble to get it wrong. I had bought two 50' spools from my local BestBuy store, and both spools were negligently marked, if you could really call that markings in the first place. The markings evidently are so tiny that they disappear before your eyes. They use some kind of white? infinitesimally small font of a message on the clear plastic surrounding the wire which nobody could possibly read, and also, that doesn't run the entire length, although it repeats. Tiny dashes are supposed to also mark a measure rule. But as I said, you can't see it. I couldn't understand the ridiculousness of it being so small, there was plenty of room on this heavy gauge wire for better markings. I would not buy this product again, if I could help it.

What's great about it: heavy gauge
What's not so great: Nearly impossible to see the polarity of the wire; in other words, which lead is "positive" and which is "negative."
