Just like Potters Field, this CD has seen 12 Stones progress both musically and lyrically. With this progress came growth for the band. Although we saw some maturity in Paul's voice with PF, he has absolutely taken it to a new level with Anthem. Also, one of the things I think we missed with PF (the guitar solo's) are back. Eric's playing is superb on this new CD. I don't know what else to say except that my favorite band keeps getting better and better with each new release. Do yourself a favor and pick up Anthem for the Underdog. You will NOT be disappointed. It's hands down there breakout cd and will finally get them known!

12 Stones have started to leave their grunge style music behind with this new cd and have become a more poppish style of Rock. But over all I think this is a very good CD. Defitnitely their Best one.

This album grabs your attention from the first beat and lyrics of the title track "Anthem for the Underdog". Then it carries over to their first single from this album "Lie to Me". Many other tracks like "Adrenaline" and "World so Cold" have its own attitude and brings a different dimension to the band. Adrenaline is exactly that, a fast paced, heavy riffed song. Then it follows that up with a few alternative themed songs with alot of meaning about how to deal with things in life. Then a bomb is dropped with A World So Cold. A very rythmic, slower paced song that builds up and sucks you in and next thing you are playing it over and over. I give this album a 9/10. Only problem is it may be a bit soft for fans of the band that know this band has always rocked harder in the past. But not only do I not mind this change of pace, but i welcome it. I compare this album to Staind's "Chapter V". If you like that album, you deffinenetly will like this.
What's great about it: Can listen to album start to finish. I get lost in the songs.
What's not so great: Not as many heavier tracks than previous albums.
