this is a pretty fun game with some solid graphics. once you beat it though there is pretty much zero replay value. the cities are nice to explore. there is no multi player. the story and graphics are definitely the strongpoints. i would only rent this one.

The story was a little diff than i thought at fist, and if you havnt seen anything abut it, ill just tel you this, its better. Only realy picky people will find this game repetative, let me ask you one questin. Are you repetative???The world is huge, 3 GIANT citis to explore if you want. Like i said, combat is realalistic, you cant get your head sliced open like 10 times befor you get down a quarter health, you can only get hit in head 2 or 3 times, then, your DOWN. more ways to kill ppl than in other games that seem like this. ant let me tel you!THIS IS NOT LIKE OBLIVION!!!!!!!!!!!!YOU DONT PLAY IT FOR LIKE 2 HOURS AND THEN FIND YOU HAVE 2 MOVES TO HIT, GETS BORING BUYING AND SELLING STUFF WHEN YOU CANT PLAY ONLINE, AND STRAYING FROM QUEST LINE? IM SURE NO LVL 1 IN OBLIVION HAS EVER GONE TO THAT MAIN QUEST THING, THEY MAKE QUESTS SO SHORT, IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS NO MAIN STORY....SO REPETATIVE. enough abut oblivion, lets get back to assassins creed. the laws of physics can also be aplied,if you hit a wooden pool supporting a small little overhand, it wil fall and createa blockade. another AWSOME thing about tis game is you can clim any ledge and physical feature. even hop from pole to pole (jumping like off of the to anoter thing) or jus swing. you can even hide from gaurdes in hiding playses, 100000 out of 100000 and thats specific
What's great about it: awsome graphics, only chppy if your 360 is loaded with data, awsome realistic combat, and i meen realistic, realy fun, h

First, this game has some absolutely incredible graphics. The visuals are stunning. You can climb to the top of towers and just see the detail.
Next, the story the game is based on is interesting. Kept me playing wanting to know what twist or turn was coming next, and to find out what happens in the end.
The problem is...it's the same mission over and over. And over. There is hardly any difference in the missions, except that towards the end the guards have a higher state of awareness. Makes the game get pretty old after a while. Should have rented it.
All in all - it's fun to run around 12th Century cities as an assassin, but I wish the programmers had added more to the gameplay.
What's great about it: Insane graphics, pretty intriguing story line
What's not so great: Save citizen, climb walls, kill target, wash, rinse, repeat

Assassin's Creed is an outstanding game. This game is graphically amazing, the cities are built so good and realistic it's not even funny. Altair (the main character) moves very fluently it looks real (I believe watching one of the development diaries they said he has over 1000 animations to accomplish this realism). As far as the game play is concerned there are many cities and each one of them huge. There is one problem for the OCD video game players out there, maybe even a reason to get a strategy guide. There are different flags in every city, anywhere from 20 - 100 of each type. Collecting all of each type gives you an achievement. The missions are as a lot of people on here say, repetitive. Although this is true it really does not detract from the storyline and game play of the game. A lot of the repetitiveness is fun to do anyway. Achievements for this game are a lot of fun (except the flag gathering ones) there is a lot of variety on the achievements that make it a lot of fun.
What's great about it: Graphics, game play, very large
What's not so great: Tedious flag collecting for the people that have to have everything

visually, this game is stunning. unbelievable really. but once you play through and realize how short the game is and how every one of the few missions is almost exactly the same, it gets very old very fast. on a personal note the story just didnt do anything for me, in fact i thought it was pretty much just stupid. thats up to you to decide. my advice, pick it up while its on sale.
