Good refrigerator but the ice maker is problematic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the most part I like this refrigerator. It looks and functions good. Though some of the drawers are hard to slide in and out sometimes. I think if I can get some food safe plastic lubricant it will be a lot better.
However, I'm really sore about the ice maker. It has issues in its design that are frustrating. It creates long, quarter circle shaped ice cubes and I think this is the root of the problem. First of all, they actually seem too long to easily fit down the chute when being dispensed whole, not crushed. I like whole ice, not crushed. I've had them jam up several times. A couple of times a jam occurred that held the paddle in the on position so ice piles up inside while I frantically try to un-jam it. This usually ends up with cubes all over the floor. Then I have to dig them out of the chute which causes more cubes to scatter about. I have ended up with a couple full glasses worth of melting ice everywhere in the kitchen and inside the freezer a few times since I took delivery of this fridge at the end of June.
When the dispenser is actually not jamming, it dispenses ice very erratically. It'll run and run and run with only small chips of ice then sudden it all pours out in a rush, over filling my glass or water bottle. And here we go again with ice scattering across the floor. It has almost become comedic.
Overall, I like the refrigerator. It has a nice appearance that compliments my kitchen. But the ice maker issues have certainly made me unhappy and knocked off a couple of stars. And it made it so that I would not recommend this fridge in any way. Unless you only like crushed ice. Maybe if it had a different shaped cube, like the Frigidaire that is at my workplace, it would not have so many problems. As it is, disappointment.

Very Satified

I don't understand all the review that stated it's very noisy because I don't find that to be the case. Just had company and they committed about all the features they like...the design smug free surface, lighting inside and the overall efficient layout. Those were the reason I purchased this model. Purchased it blind because they didn't have this model on the floor but as to date I've very satisfied.

It is so roomie that after I go to the grocery store and fill it with what I bought it still looks empty. Looks like it ate all my groceries. :-) I love the quiet ice maker and the light that makes it easy to get water during the night. It's like my new best friend in the kitchen.

Great fridge for smaller area

While not a lot of options for the available space in our kitchen, we still don't feel like we had to compromise when we purchased this model. Looks great and has a lot of storage area in both fridge and freezer, though you may have to get used to the space being due to greater depth than width. My only change would be to get rid of the "chiller" drawer, as it tends to freeze most items, and just include another drawer for fruits / veggies. And be prepared for periodic noises from the ice maker. The stainless steel is definitely smudge and fingerprint proof and makes the fridge look very contemporary. Definitely would recommend!

Great refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never had a side by side with an ice and water dispenser before. I love my new refrigerator. It's only a 22 cu but seems really large and with the shelf configuration I can fit everything we need. I would recommend this refrigerator .

Poor Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few years, the freezer walls have moved apart so far, the shelves are becoming unusable. The door ice dispenser clogs with ice, then when you free the ice it goes everywhere. Even with all the cooling ports in the drawers closed and the fridge temp set at 43, it will freeze things in the drawers. Some of the LED lights on the front display have gone dim and the beep sound that all the Gallery appliances make is the longest most obnoxious sound you will ever hear.

Fairly good

Some problems right from the get go. The doors are not flush, I know its a cosmetic thing but still. The ice maker on the inside of the freezer has frost build up on the discharge chute, not good. Have a repair tech scheduled for tomorrow. We'll see what the out come is.
