Great looking Frigidaire Frig.

Holds more than you think!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have limited space for our refrigerator, so I had to purchase a narrower model, which limited my choices. I have been very happy with this refrigerator so far. It actually holds more than the old French door model that was in the condo when we moved in. I love that the water dispenser is actually tall enough to accommodate my tall tumblers! A great buy!

Love the smudge proof stainless and design

Love the smudge proof stainless. My only issue has been the shelves. You cannot put much weight on the shelves as they begin to pull away from their support. I can’t seem to push the Support back into the walls either so this is a problem for me especially since I cannot fill them with much weight or food.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok but some issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good: Excellent finish & layout of space inside - the pizza slot next to the icemaker is nice as are the LED lights that fade up so you are not blinded opening the door in the dark.
Bad: Ice chute has a gap at the top so some crushed ice can and does fall down outside the chute missing your glass - stupid.
I had to adjust the freezer door all the way to the end of thread to get the doors level - poor assembly/QC
Noise - yes this is noisy and I don't mean weird noises that others have reported from their presumably defective units. My fridge has no strange noises but the fans are way too loud in high speed. The fridge sounds just like my microwave -but quieter. Imagine setting your microwave to run for 1 hour and then put it in the fridge and close the door - that's what I hear. I seriously doubt anyone has done any engineering to reduce fan noise which is a shame since it is not that hard and costs next to nothing to do right - e.g. computer fans.
I may box the fridge in wood to cut the noise down but if you are concerned please go to the store and insist they take the fridge out of demo mode so you can hear it with the compressor(quiet) and fans(loud) running and judge for yourself. Note that the Evaporator fan slows down to tolerable when you open the freezer door.
Cnet posted a bad review of this fridge due to poor temperature uniformity but I put 4 sensors inside and measured for several days and did not see more than 4 deg difference between top middle and bottom which is ok.
Finally the claim of an air filter is just deception - there is no filter! It a piece of cardboard with activated charcoal to absorb smells but air does not pass through it so NOT a filter. All this is is a thinner, smaller version of a box of Arm & Hammer!

OK But for Two Major Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have now been living with our Frigidaire side-by-side for 1 year, and, while we like some of the features, we've had two chronic issues that prevent us from being able to recommend this product. First, our ice chute clogs on a daily basis. It has to be cleared by hand, which usually causes water to shoot all over the floor until you are done clearing. I think this is a design flaw rather than a malfunction - the chute is just not wide enough to pass the pieces of ice made. How is this possible after so many years of making these things?? Our old fridge never gave us this problem. Second, and bigger, problem: our fridge drawers are constantly freezing foods, ruining many foods but especially leafy greens. I've raised the internal temperature from the preset 37 to 40, and this seemed to help a bit. But nothing helps that chill drawer - no food is safe in there. Your technicians told us we could keep raising the temp up to 47 degrees, but Consumer Reports said anything above 40 is not safe. So I will not go higher....and it's costing us much in damaged, even ruined, greens. So, we have wasted space - a whole drawer we can't use and other drawers we need to use very cautiously. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

JD57, I am dismayed to hear of your refrigerator experience. I wonder if your ice maker may be jamming. Please remove the ice bin to see if there are any ice cubes stuck between the ice maker and the rear of the ice bin, please remove the cubes and put the bin back in the proper position. Ice must be used on a regular basis to help move the ice forward in the bucket. Shake the ice bin once a week or so to ensure the ice is not sticking together. If you have adjusted the humidity settings to the highest option on your crisper drawer, and are still experiencing freezing of items, please reach out to us directly for assistance.
