doors do not line up exactly, plus, no shelve for a carton of eggs in the door

i bought the fridge about a month or so ago and it looked great and had some features I was pretty excited about but ive been having some concerning problems as of lately.
for starters while, installing the shelves that came with the fridge (on the door) one of them broke.
this was a little upsetting but a quick call to customer service and they shipped me out a new one free of charge.

the shelf was backordered but came in rather quickly.
the fact that i was back ordered makes me wonder if this is common issue.
nonetheless, the fact that the rep was so helpful and so quick to resolve leaves me no complaints on her behalf

moving on, the drawers and shelfs inside the actual fridge and freezer don't slide very easy,
example: in the freezer the shelves pull out a little awkwardly and can sometimes cause a little frustration when trying to adjust .
additionally, sometimes when im pulling them out my hand grazes the lip of the shelf and it comes off very easily. This really makes me look at the fridge in a concerning way

example 2:
the shelves designed for veggies and fruits.
they dont slide in and out easily.
they rub the enclosure that they sit in. I can clearly see the plastic being warn down by the constant opening and closing we do when using them.
Every time i open them it sounds like nails on a chalk board.
this makes it very difficult to make myself a late night snack.

the bigger issues
1. the ice maker... well for one, it took me quite a while to remove the tray above it and once i did i wasn't sure if i had broken it or not. rather confusing and clunky.
the reason i have had to remove this is because the ice maker has backed up on me twice.
this caused ice to not come out and when i open the freezer door a ton of ice came crashing down on the floor.
this can be extremely annoying to clean if your preferred ice type is crushed.

every time this fridge does something whether its pulling water, making ice, cooling itself ...its loud
loud enough to also be concerned,
not only because of the volume but because sometimes it already sounds like its automated systems are dying which would be terrible given how new it is.

as for the good stuff.
the water works great
the lighting is excellent.
The look finish and feel is perfect
and for the smaller size fridges i find the space to be quite adequate

all in all, I am holding my breath hoping nothing goes wrong and hoping that frigidaire stands behind their product should i ever have to call for a warranty issue

regret the purchase

The current appliance is a warranty replacement from Frigidaire. The first unit started to fail within 8mo. Multiple service calls, a complaint to the BBB and finally getting granted a replacement from the manufacturer means I have a new unit. How long will this one last? Who knows. It is loud (read other reviews). The ice maker jams up regularly. My cold cuts freeze. To be fair, the replacement works better than the original but I have zero confidence it will last for the long haul. Find another choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello malleesmom, we certainly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We understand that your new unit is causing you a little concern. Typically, the compressor operates at a higher pressure when first starting and the noise should disappear as the refrigerator continues to run and balance pressures. Have you noticed that ice has melted and frozen around the auger? If so, remove your ice container, thaw, and empty the contents. Clean your container, wipe dry, and replace in the proper position. When new ice is made, it should dispense properly. If you notice cubes are jammed between the ice maker and the rear of your ice bin, remove the cubes. Lastly do you notice that your cubes are small or frozen together? Please feel free to contact us directly to discuss this further. Thank you, Jennifer

I bought this a month ago but was not happy I wasn't informed that the top draw would freeze things..... I threw away a lot of vegetables and cheese....

Miriam D, I hate to hear of your recent experience with things freezing in the crisper drawer. I have some items for you to check. If you have a meat (deli) drawer above the crisper drawer that is freezing, I suggest setting the adjustable temperature to “cold”. Make sure your humidity control is set on “higher” humidity (this will let less cold air in) also. If this doesn’t apply or help, please reach out to us directly so we can research how to best assist you. Warm regards, Ruth

We purchased this to complete our new appliances in the kitchen. One comment is that the first drawer compartment sticks and make a noise when we open the drawer.

I bought this about a month ago. I absolutely love it. It makes our kitchen look really nice and the fridge is very spacious. I love the features it has and having the ice maker. Just wish the freezer was a little bigger. Great product. Definitely recommend it!

Nicely proportioned for a two bedroom condo

This fridge is a really good size for a limited space two bedroom condo. We are very happy with it. One small discrepancy the drawers do not slide easily.
