Excellent B/W copies

Have many old b/w prints of family which I restored, in addition to color negatives which had faded. Digital ICE worked very well.

it does a awsome job on slides &photos. had a 30 year photo that was out in the room for 25 years with this scanner *artrisan 50 photo printer. one would have to see the difference to fully believe what those two can do . they are both a awsome machine.

I have not had an opportunity to use all of the features of the V500 Photo Scanner but it appears to have more options than the 3170 Photo Scanner (purchased 12.22.2003) it replaced. It does appear to be more sophisticated and it does not perform as rapidly as the 3170. I have yet to determine how to produce the 17" x 22" enlargements. I purchased the V500 because the 3170 failed and dd not appeared to be repairable.

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner

I just completed scanning over 1500 slides and several old negatives that have been in storage for years. They turned out perfectly and bring back many fond memories. I have many regular photos that I will scan next. I found that the ease of use and it's compactness is also excellent

Epson V500 Scanner

I bought this scanner for personal use. I read reviews about this scanner before buying. Some said it was slow...in fact, that might have been the worse thing said about it. Well, I must be slow, because I have not found this to be a fact. I have used it most for regular copying, but have also use it for photos and have been please with the results. I would def buy an Epson Scanner again.

This scanner was easy to use and gave great results. Took a few minutes to setup and first scan was perfect. Great buy and glad I got it.

additional V500

I recently installed my second V500 Epson scanner. I have owned the first one for a couple of years and between myself and my office administrator, we had to "take turns". Now I have my own. It's a real workhorse and very reliable. The only addition I'd like to see is if I could connect it to my laptop wth a wireless connection.

A great product. I have scanned several hundred old slides and photos since obtaining. I am still learning the various things I need to do to obtain the optimum results. Would have helped to have more instructions on line.
