I Scan A Lot - no problem with Epson

When I went to Windows 7 the scanner I had with Windows XP did not have a driver for Win 7 and did not plan to create one.... I was not happy with that company... Epson had a good scanner at a good cost and worked with Win 7.... I have had no problems with this one.

Worth every penny

Does all it said it would. Perfect pictures and copies. The ink needed to be replace almost instantly. Ink available at most office supply stores. Love the machine and hope it last many years.

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner

It produces what I need. It is good for scanning in personal Documents and other related needs. It is also good for scanning in photos that I then work on in Photoshop.

This scanner is easy to use and does an excellent job if you learn to use all the features. It took me a while to learn but with a little effort on my part I have learned to use a lot of the features and its made my job a lot easier to maintain my Photos. Not to mention any and all the documents I keep on my computer for ease of reference.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slide Reproduction

I found the slide and picture reproduction very easy to use. The only down on this was moving the black papers back and forth. Only a few slides at a time. The photo reproduction was very good.

When preparing 4 my sons HS grad party I wanted a scanner that had the portability that my printer-copier-scanner didn't have.
I bought & returned 2 other less expensive scanners b4 buying my Epson Perfection V500. Altho they had the portability factor that was so important 2 me, they were cheaply made & lacked the quality & durability I was looking 4.
I have been extremely happy w/this scanner & it def has proven 2 be worth the added expense. It has everything a scanner should have & more, w/only 1 exception. The only feature the cheaper models & my all-in-1 has that this scanner lacks is a SD &/or USB slot.
If it had these capabilities the Epson Perfection V500 would truly be Perfect & warrant the full 5 star rating!
