Epson V500 Photo Scanner is really a good product, easy to use and set up. Fixed some of my old photos and they came out pretty good. You get good results from the product. Its a bit slow but the quality is great.
Just had 40th year high school graduation reunion, had 50 small black/white photos taken by RETINET-Kodak camera so wanted to share with my friends. First time of EPSON purchaser and did not even read the manual just plug it in and scan 50 pics in 15 minutes. Very good resolution and my friends went CRAZY. Good job EPSON or else I would have taken to a photo lab costing me the same but now I have a scanner at home, thanks.
Purchased to digitize files. Have scanned hundreds of pages with the ADF. Very satisfied. Will get to photos soon, my last two scanners were flatbed Epson scanners so I expect to get great results, just as I did with the last ones.
I have pleasantly surprised by the ease of operating and the depth of the included software. I am a bit of a novice with little experience in scanning documents and photos. I was really happy with the detail you get with a normal automatic scan! The price was really reasonable.
Swell-looking scanner. Too bad it doesn't work. I just hooked it up to my computer and it would make a real good door stop. I have Windows 7, 64-bit. I wonder if that is the problem?
This is my second Epson scanner, the first was an Epson Perfection 2450 photo, bought 6 or 7 years ago and it is still working great with Windows XP, just not with Windows 7. I bought a new computer so also a new scanner. If this one is as good I'll never have to buy another!
Have scanned about 40 4X6 photos so far with the V500. It is a little faster than my previous 4490 photo. I wish the table was a little longer so you could fully scan three 4 x 6 prints at once. It would also be nice if there was a template for the three 4 x 6 prints.
