Excellent scanner ! Very easy setup and smooth operation and interface with Windows 7. My previous scanner was a very good Epson 3200, but the new V500 exceeds the old scanner in every specification. Very pleased.

I've had the scanner two days and have already scanned over 600 35MM slides. It is easy to use and produces excellent digital images.

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner

I bought this scanner so that I could copy old photos and old recipes in family members' original handwriting. This scanner is doing a great job. With support from staff at my local Mac Store, I have learned to use it very well with my Mac computer. It was difficult to install since I could not use the CD's that came with the scanner. However, Epson telephone support staff guided me through the process.

I bought the V500 strictly for slides and print scanning. It is 7 days and 1600 slides since I bought it, so it is time to write a review. I have been searching for a reasonably-priced, good quality scanner for 20 plus years, finally resorting to photographing the projected slides, with only fair results. I found the V500 simple to set up and, using Auto Run with customized choice of destination etc, I have had no problems. It takes about a minute per slide in groups of 4, at 300dpi and the results are excellent. The auto photo orientation often "corrects" the wrong way, but otherwise no criticisms.

Excellent Scanner

Very easy to use. Doing a good job with some 40 year old slides I shot in the 60's whoops make that 50 year old. Great price and warranty from clearance center with free shipping

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner

I have been using this model for some 3 years now and find it perfectly suitable for scanning b&W and color materials and pictures, the results are most satisfactory. The onscreen menus are clear and give you plenty of room for all kinds of adjustments.

I purchased this Scanner, because it’s like the one I use at CS-University. I think it the Greatest, however, this one is a Photo of which I had picture made at a Department Store, of which I love how they used the “Scan Film Trays.” I would love to learn how to use the Trays that came with it. I see where it says insert negatives with the shiny side facing down etc. Is there more information? I see that it say: Visit Epson’s support website at Epson.com/support. I will give that a try. Being a Senior Citizen, and in school ism as easy as it look…LOL!
