V500 Set UP

So Far 3 Plus hours into receiving my new Epson V500 still cannot get communication to PC from Scanner. Also, I get a 1935 Error when trying to load free PhotoShop Elements 9.0, and there is lots of hits with this issue. Some say registry issues, yet still not able to get it loaded. Back to support? There is little or no help with noted tech support in trouble shooting guide supplied with new scanner. It directs one to online page, and once you go thru which type of cable you are using USB etc...it just drops off with no help. I have also deleted and reinstalled software, and drivers, my PC states all good, ready to use, yet when trying to test scanner??? Not able to communicate??? It shows up in my devices, so lost...must wait till am to call customer support...After reading all the reviews about compatibility with Windows 7 the instuctions state that if one uses 7 just follow same set up as if using Vista?? Lost...I am hoping to get the scanner up and running, great reviews and I have lots of pics and old negs to bring back into our lives...

Of all the electronic equipment I own, I love this one for the ease of setup. I bought this photo scanner to scan my old slides, many were owned by my parents back in the 50's. Once scanned and viewed on my high def screen it is truly amazing. I scanned photos of my grandparents from 6o years ago and it takes your breath away to see them on the screen. It looks as if they are right in front of you. This is a great photo scanner and you will not be disappointed in owning one.

I have scanned pictures, documents and recipes since installing the V500 in late October. It is fast, efficient and reliable. Pictures (both B & W and color) are sharp and detailed. I would definitely recommend this product This is a very good scanner for home use.

My Second Epson Scanner

My first Epson scanner broke, but I liked it well enough that I replaced it with a new Epson! I'm looking forward to learning about all it can do since I see that some new features have been added.

Scanner works great, scanning several photos at the same time works well and text documents look great. I don't see any scratch removal from the old photos I have scanned (maybe they are to far gone). I don't care for the photo editing software, I have been using Paintshop Photo Pro and find it more versatile.

Love this scanner, very easy to use features, has a very easy auto setting but if you are a little more advanced you can set everything manually. I have had it about 2 weeks and have been using it on a daily basis
