An Excellent Quality Scanner

The V500 is reasonably priced, very easy to setup, and the software from Epson very user friendly. I have scanned negative film and slides, and I am very pleased with the quality of the output. I would not hesitate in recommending the scanner. In my opinion, it is a top notch scanner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost perfect

I bought this to digitize my thousands of film pictures I have taken over the years. It is fantastic. I can adjust the resolution to whatever size I want and easily save the digital versions of the pictures to my computer. The only problem I had is there is a spec of dust under the glass, right where I need to place the pictures on the glass. There is no way to get to this spec of dust without sending the entire scanner back to the manufacturer. I have to photoshop this spec out of every picture. I could give it five stars if it didn't have that spec of dust showing up on every picture. When the bulb goes bad I will send it back for repair and to have that spec of dust removed from under the glass.

I purchased this scanner to digitize my 35mm slides, film strips and negatives. I had it set up in about 1/2 an hour. I took another 1/2 hour to study it's operation, which was really quite simple. Then it was on to the fun!!

I have had this scanner for several years and it has given me complete satisfaction in all my tasks. I am sure that I have not even used it to its full capabilities. I would definitely recommend this to any one looking for a reliable scanner.

V500 Photo Scanner

I found this scanner to be very easy to install and for an older generation person with little computer know-how, this meant a lot. The directions were very easy to follow and I was copying photo's immediately. The "help" program answered my questions with easy to follow directions and I am now on my way copying photo's and slides! Great product!

Great photo scanner

Just finished setting up my new scanner. Was pleased with how easy it was. The easily accessed manual made everything clear. Have scanned some old photos and the quality is outstanding. Appreciate the color correction and scratch removal options as you scan. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to capture and restore old photos. Also great for copying photos to the printer and/or email. I plan to use this for slides also but haven't yet - just needed to verify the quality before spending the time. Thanks for a great product.

This Scanner meets all my genealogy needs for reproducing old photos and new ones also. It is very easy to use and the settings allow flexibility to get the quality you want. Highly recommend!

ADF Problem

Using to scan 4x6 pictures and the ADF jams at least half the time.
