Am I the only person that bought this scanner to scan 2 1/4 negitives. why does it only scan part of a negitive am I missing something it's just not working well for me at all. any Ideas

In my opinion there is no better scanner for the small administrative jobs that are needed for small offices, such as a church. The scan quality is terrific!

I have taken up photo stitching as hobby,and needing to put 100's of still photos on my computer, I read reviews of about 5 other scanners, and choose the Espon Perfection V500. Setup instructions where easy to understand and I was scanning within 10 minutes. Also, I can scan monthly statements and not have file them. Pro: Easy to use; ability to stop scan if you don't like the position of photo; quick. Cons: Little noisy Recommendation: I would recommend to others

what happened to my film option

when i first used the scanner last week i was able to select slides as an option for scanning. tried to use it yesterday and that option seems to have disappeared. when i scan the slides i don't see each individual slide - only the four slides in the slide holder. i'm baffled and annoyed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner

My Father was in the Air Force and took 35 MM slides of England, Scotland , and Bermuda in the early 1950's. I want to pass these slides on to my younger brother, but want to make a copy of them for myself first. Also, the slides are beginning to deteriorate and scanning them into CD's seems like the thing to do. The V500 was relatively easy to set up for 35 MM slide scanning, and the software to restore (even improve upon the original) color and contrast is easy to use and effective. I am very happy with this device so far. It has encouraged me to learn how to use other software to create slideshows with narration and background music.

Epson V500 Review

Have not used scanner to its fullest extent, however, the resolution is excellent. I use it mainly with Adobe Acrobat, ver 9, and they are nicely compatible. I also use it with MS Photo Editor which also works well.
I am looking forward (not really) to scanning over 6000 35mm slides. I also purchased this same model for my wife, who is an avid scanner.
