A workhorse

I've had the Eposn V500 for a while now. I have scanned many old photos and the quality is amazing. Of course, good photo software is a must. The Epson V500 came with Adobe Photohop Elements and I am getting very good results. I have recommended this scanner to some co-workers a they are very pleased with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

V500 Scanner

We recieved our refurbished V500 Scanner today. I followed the setup and installation directions very carefully but it will not scan. Windows 7 does not even recognize that there's a scanner installed. I intalled the driver several times but nothing. Thanks guys.

I decide to buy this scanner because i see my friend scanning the colors negative, Black & White and slides, and the results of the pictures was awsome and great sharpening.

Only set up the machine today and have scanned one document and one picture. Ease of use was amazing. I really purchased the right product.

Great slide scanner!

The Epson V500 Photo Scanner is the 5th scanner I've had and the best by a very long shot. Other major brand scanners left me with ghost images, poor color reproduction, or the task of unmounting my slides so they'd fit into the film holder.
The V500 is easy to use, allowing you to seat the mounted slide quickly and easily. No clips to hold them, no cumbersome frames to work with, no fear of tearing color slides as you remove the mounting.
It also does an excellent job on dark slides (photos of buildings taken at night) which my other scanners simply rejected.
I've done a few hundred so far; only several thousand to go.

I am very pleased with how easy this scanner works. I have used it only for photos right now, but plan to try scanning slides in the near future. Very good results for the money.

My review must be taken with a grain of salt, because I've only scanned one document. But I will say this: I was impressed. The scan was fairly speedy and crystal clear. It works fine! Based on this little bit of usage, I am quite satisfied with my purchase of the Epson Perfection V500 scanner.
I would recommend this to a friend!
