Connectivity Problem

Had to return to dealer. Computer could not find scanner. Error messages said USB cable not connected. Loaded the program four times. Same results, then gave up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson V500

Works well and does what I need it to do. I would have preferred an ADF to speed up the process as I am scanning dozens of old photo albums from my childhood. The photo correction software works well and is easy to use. I looked at several models from different manufactures and after a thorough review of customer ratings decided the V500 offered the best bang for the buck. Good overall photo scanner and has so far survived several hundred scans with many more to follow.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson V500 Photo Scanner

Received my V500 Photo Scanner and found it easy to install the product. My first scan was a picture of my grandparents which is close to 100 years old. It is very faded, but custom scanning sharpened and darkend the faded colors, without me even having to touch it up after.
The scanner operates at approximately the same speed as others I have used. It does go a bit slower while fixing the photo it is scanning, but it would take me more time to tweak the photo later. It saves time in the long run.
Smooth operation, I would definately reccommend this scanner to anyone who is trying to scan old photos or any other scanning task.

Easy out of the book setup. Was coping slides, photo's in minutes. Great price. Just love it. Highly recommended.

V500 Scanner

Very impressed with the quality of the scanning both black and white and color. Beats the quality of the all in one economy printer scanners by a large margin.Works
with old slides and 35 mm negatives as advertised, producing great results. The photo shop program that comes with is excelent but is very complicated and takes practice to master. All in all the V500 is a great value.

Great Scanner!!

I love this scanner!! I have sooooo many slides that need to be scanned into my computer and photo books and DVD's made from these. I have scanned a few hundred already, and if this unit breaks I WILL buy another. I also do scanning of photos and documents.:):)
