Won't scan large negatives

in spite of a long lite strip, the soft ware does not allow you to scan anything larger than about 2" square. I returned it.

Pictures made easy

Copying photos is a one-button breeze. I have 40 years of pictures waiting for this copier so I can make an electronic album to share with family and friends.

I have had my scanner for about a week now. I've scanned about 300 slides so far. I am very pleased with this product and would definitly recommend it.

Installed scanner according to instructions and as soon as I turned the power on it sounded as if gears in the unit were grinding.

Epson V500 Photo scanner

I bought this scanner because I had film negatives that were twice as large as normal negatives (up to 2 inches wide) and this scanner allowed for that. I love the color correction and all the bells and whistles. However, the scanner every once in a while suddenly cannot communicate with the computer when I am scanning film positives - this does not happen when scanning photos. I have used 3 different USB cables and the problem persists. Maybe the problem will go away as is often the case. It always starts working again if I leave it alone for a while, but that can be a bit of a time waster. And of course, I wish it was faster, but I do like the scanner.

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner

This product was so easy to set-up and use! That was a huge plus for me! And, I love the quality of the scan which is very important for my business. If you are a small business owner like me, this is the scanner for you.

V500 EZ SETUP EZ 2 USE

JUST RECEIVED MY V500 AND AMAZED AT HOW QUICKLY IT WAS SET UP AND READY TO USE. AND THE RESULTS CAME FAST AND PERFECT. PROBABLY THE BEST SCANNER YOU COULD BUY WITHOUT HAVING TO BREAK THE BANK TO GET ONE.

No warmup required

I previously had an Epaon 4490 (or was it 4990?) and my only complaint was the time it took to warmup the lamp.
The V500 scans instantly because of the LED lamp. I love it!
