I have been exceptionally pleased with both the speed and quality of this Epson scanner. The only problem I had was that I could not scan a document because of having another All-in-one scanner on my computer. I called and tried to hook up both scanners to my computer, but it would not work. I am going to try another time to call and see if a different technician can help me with this problem.
I would highly recommend the Epson scanner to those wanting to scan photos, slides, & negatives.

New at this scanning business and having some difficulties. A detailed owner's manual would be very helpful. Without one, you have to rely on the cd-rom instructions, which necessitates leaving what you are doing with the scanner on the computer and opening a new screen for help. Plus the answers and solutions are too complicated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just started using on Monday 10/10/11.So far so very good,easy to use and quality is super.Scanning photos for my daughters wedding went through 30 in about 1 hr (1st time I used it)Made photos from the 60's look like they were just taken.Going to start on my slides next.

I think that you need to make the cord to the computer longer. I don't have many options where the scanner can go!

The V500 Scanner is great

We've been using this printer to convert our old slides, Photos, and many of our special documents. This scanner has turned out to be a great choice for converting just about everything.

Love this scanner, very easy to use features, has a very easy auto setting but if you are a little more advanced you can set everything manually. I have had it about 2 weeks and have been using it on a daily basis
