Epson V500 Flatbed Scanner

Installed in seconds, works great. This is my 2nd Epson Flatbed scanner. My old one was a 1560 model that lasted 7 years much to my surprise. I can highly recommend Epson's scanners.

Great film scanner

I became the owner of some medium format genealogy neatives and this did a awesome job of scanning. With a little thought and some spare parts, cardboard and tape, I made a holder for some abominable 110 kodak film strips that were irreplaceable. They came out raher nice. Great 4x6s and probably could do a reasonable 5x7. Slides and 35mm film were fast and easy. The instructions were a little sparce, but a little trial and error and I was scanning in just a few minutes after installing the software. Happy Camper!!

Great Product

Received my V500 scanner 2 days ago. It is extremely easy and effortless to set up and I was scanning within minutes. Even though I haven't performed all the things it will do, I would recommend it to anyone. I have scanned to email, PDF and to My Pics. Great machine.

This is the first scanner I have ever owned. I had doubts but they were erased on receiving it and using it. I don't know what you could do to make it any easier to use. Quality pictures are a real bonus!

Too bad

This was purchased as a gift to me and so I waited for a certain day to begin using it. I followed the instructions carefully, but it just would not work. No lights came on, nothing. I changed the wall plug 3 times and no luck. The thing just doesn't work. Too bad. I had real hopes. I was planning on taking this with me on a trip soon. Now my work schedule has grown to the extent I am not home during the hours I need to be home to talk to someone about this. Perhaps things at work will slow down enough that I can pursue taking care of this problem next month.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the way products should work. Perfectly! Out of the box it performed better than I expected. I am using it for pictures, slides and negatives. I am really pleased with it and have recommend it to others. This is my second Epson product and I am very pleased with both!

Great scanner

This, V500, is the third Epson scanner I have owned. This is the best ever, faster than previous units. Scans are straight and square, much better than previous units. I use this for scanning documents and photographs almost daily. Previous unit, Epson Perfection 4490 PHOTO lasted for 32 months, very good in my opinion for the relatively heavy use I put the unit to. Software installation couldn't be any easier. Works great with Adobe® Photoshop®Elements furnished with Epson scanner.
