as a dental hygiene student it was recommended that we gave this a try and I bought this a couple months ago, was working great until the button got stuck and now it’s not working at all... super disappointed!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing tool! Read the manual

As stated in the title this tool is absolutely amazing. I'd almost call it a necessity. After reading a mix of reviews (90 percent positive) I decided to purchase it.
After reading negative reviews I realized that a lot of people aren't reading the manual fully. It tells you right in the manual how to clean the product and as long as you maintain it it will last for you. It has a three year warranty. Not a lot of companies back their product to a three year warranty.
If you have an issue just contact their support they make it super easy.
10/10 product. Maintain it better than your car. It's your mouth.

We really like our new Waterpik, it does a very good job of getting in between our teeth cleaned. We have used the battery operated ones before, but this one is much better. We would recommend this unit as we think it works really good and is a good buy. It is a little noisy but that doesn't really bother us.

I bought this Model WP-118 to replace a Model WP-100 that I had used since 2009; it has a better Handle design with a sliding-OFF-ON Switch, which positively prevents water from squirting out until you want it to. The Tank Cover has a flip-up Lid with storage for 4 Tips. Also, the Mint green color looks nice with any color combination decor.

The unit was a replacement for a defective waterpik whose pump stopped working after about six months. The replacement is exhibiting the same problem out of the box, that is, the pump sometimes doesn’t run until the handle switch is opened. Other than this problem it works fine.
