I have been using Waterpik for over 12 years and my gums have gone from bad to healthy! The unit worked fine for 12 years of twice-daily use plus a fair amount of abuse. Finally I got a new one and I expect another 12 years. Get one, start with a low intensity setting, build up to 10 over a couple weeks, and your gums will be healthy again (plus your mouth will be cleaner than ever)!
