Previous product was the self contained hand held but just didn't have the power. I really liked the shower attachment but it couldn't take the turning on and off & knob would break

I bought this unit because it is run by electricity rather than a battery, and it has a large water supply, encouraging me to use it for longer periods of time. My dental hygienist commented on a noticeable improvement in my teeth...lack of staining along the gum line...which she attributed to this product along with my daily oral regimen. My teeth are close together, retaining lots of food particles, which water pic removes better than floss!

I finally had to replace my old Waterpik flosser, it lasted ten or twelve year's. I love the new model ,much quieter and the bowl design is better .I would not go without one of these,they really do help my gum's and clean great.
