I use it a cple of times a day along with brushing and flossing. The last wp 100 was good for a long time. I keep good care of it too following care instructions.

Clean teeth, just have to be careful

Been enjoying our waterpik for a few weeks and I like it so much better than flossing. Gets between most of my teeth, cleans gum line, mouth feels good. I still floss between a couple tight teeth. I also have to be careful about spraying but just takes a little practice.

I have a bridge and my dentist never recomended using a waterpik and he should have. It makes keeping underneath my bridge so much easier. Great product.

I have model WP112 - has a good amount of features

I bought this machine after I recently had expensive dental restoration work done, and my dentist and hygienist were talking about how work like that can be put in jeopardy if not well cared for, so I decided to try a Waterpik. I chose the WP112 because it's the least expensive in the long run since it only uses electricity when you use it, rather than running a battery charger 24/7/365 or requiring disposable batteries. It's also the largest in size among the Waterpik machines. The water pressure knob, when turned up to the highest setting of "10", can practically knock furniture over with the pressure it puts out. I can't use my machine at a pressure setting higher than "4" without getting my shirt and the mirror wet. The water pump motor in this thing is noisy, so don't use it if you're going to disturb others. It has the largest water reservoir of the models I looked at, which is a plus because you can do a more thorough job of cleaning your teeth and gums. The tips with bristles don't do much because the bristles are so thin and soft that they lose any brushing ability after only a few uses. The gum pocket attachment is difficult to get into your gum pockets. I use the attachment intended for restoration work (crowns, implants, etc.), and shoot water between my teeth while using the few bristles it has to help brush away loosened particles. I don't know that a Waterpik does as thorough a job as flossing, but it's a more pleasant experience than flossing. As for the machine itself, the curled water hose that leads to the handheld jet seems flimsy. Also, depending on which head you use, the manufacturer recommends replacing it at either 3 month or 6 month intervals. All in all, it seems to be a decent machine and, as mentioned, it's a more pleasant experience than flossing.

I have never used a water pick before so I don't have anything to compare it to. I really like using it, and it seems to clean between teeth good. The only thing I dislike is how much water I get everywhere, and I am very careful, but I'm sure there's no way to avoid that, unless you use it in the shower. Overall I am happy with the product.
