I've had periodontal disease issues for a few years (inflamed/bleeding gums) & asked a previous Dental provider about the benefits of using a Waterpik, but didn't get a positive response. Upon changing to a trusted provider who left an established practice and struck out on his own, I bought this appliance based on his RDHs recommendation. I saw a dramatic reduction of inflammation/gum bleeding within two or three days of use with a 50/50 mix of Peroxide & water. I'm VERY satisfied with my Waterpik, and would recommend this device to anyone with similar dental problems!
I'm sure that my RDH will agree when I see her in a few months!

Although at first I felt like the amusement park water gun shooting target with a balloon head that inflates a stream of water is shot into its mouth, I soon mastered a technique.
With good technique, I was rewarded twofold. My dentist commented on my new excellent oral hygiene and I was able to see little bits of food flushed into the sink & down the drain.
