Loud motor

I bought this a couple of months ago I like it takes up alot of counter space...motor is loud Too loud but, works good takes more food particles out of between teeth than other piks
The procuct was reccomended by a dental care professional. The product has exceeded my expectations. It has several heads which are specific to my dental issues. The operating instructions were very clear and to the point. The instruction video demonstrated exactly how to use this water pik model.
This product never worked well from day 1. After setup, I plugged it in and turned it on. Although the motor ran, no water flowed through to the tip. At one point, I managed to get water flowing by sucking it out, but water again stopped flowing after using the Waterpik twice. I'm very disappointed in how very poorly this product performs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Much Easier than the Original Models

I like the variable force adjustment on this model, as well as the assorted tips. My preference is the narrow stream, although I've used the other tips, as well. I think the narrow stream is most like the water stream my dental assistants use for cleaning. They recommended that I buy a WaterPik, and I'm glad I did. I wish, though, that there were extra tips for other members of the family to use.
I am so sorry I bought this. pressure is very bad and uses a lot of water to do nothing. do not like it at all.

The WP-100 was purchased solely for my husband who has limited salivary glands on the left side of his mouth due to radiation therapy in that area. Because of having limited salivary glands, food particles tend to remain around the gum and teeth area on the left side, resulting in tooth decay if the food is not cleansed from that area daily. Our dentist recommended purchasing a waterpik, so I selected this model. It has proven to be so helpful. He uses it daily. I bought the free-standing, chargeable model, so he can take that one with him when he travels for work. Hope the next dental appointment shows much improvement by using this product.
I bought this a month ago, I am still learning how to use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

MOULD ON THE HAND HELD

Hi, This is my second unit that I purchased and I am disappointed because of the mould build up on the handle. I had the same problem with the first unit where mould was building up inside the hand held unit. I thought that the problem was that I did not extract the pick from the hand held. When I purchased the second unit I always removed the pick so there would be no mould build up. Unfortunately the mould is there. I have a picture of the mould on the hand held but it would not attach to this review. I can send you a picture of the mould on the handle. Please send me an e mail address if you would like to see the problem. I feel very uncomfortable using this unit because of the mould. I also purchased a kids model for my grandson and will check out the unit the next time I visit him.
